We stayed here for one night for a snowboarding trip.
The location is great. Sheila at the front desk was so kind, our check in process was very quick. We even got a room upgrade, so that was a pleasant surprise.
The underground parking is convenient, with in and out privileges. They give you a ski locker and lock for free.
The breakfast buffet is included with good options.
The rooms are outdated, but clean. My only complaint is that the pillows are soft and thin, not comfortable for sleeping. Also, if you have a room facing the main street of the village, people can be pretty loud after a night of drinking and you can hear everything.
All in all, it's a solid place to stay for the price.

Unacceptable service and poor staff training.
We were explicitly instructed by hotel staff to place our luggage on a trolley. Shortly afterward, my wife was treated rudely and with clear irritation because staff believed the luggage was “lost”—despite the fact that we followed their own instructions.
This situation was handled poorly, unprofessionally, and without basic courtesy. As an IHG Elite member, I expect a minimum standard of service and accountability, neither of which was demonstrated.
The frustration was entirely avoidable and stemmed from a lack of communication and proper staff training. I will be ensuring that both the manager and owner are made aware of this incident. Staff must be trained better—this level of service is unacceptable for a hotel operating under the IHG brand.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express Mont-Royal was okay overall, but a bit underwhelming for what we expected. First off, I didn’t get any response to requests I submitted during the booking process via the official website, which was disappointing and set the tone early on.
We booked the 2-bedroom suite and honestly expected more in terms of room quality and overall finish. It was fine, but didn’t feel as comfortable or well-appointed as it should for that room type. The bathroom amenities were also quite limited, things like toothbrushes and other basic extras weren’t provided, which would have been appreciated.
Breakfast was below average and not organised particularly well, it felt more “motel style” than a hotel breakfast, and the setup/flow could be managed much better. Parking is available, but it’s an additional cost (around $29 per day), which is worth factoring in. Also worth noting: the pool wasn’t in service during my stay, which was disappointing (especially if you’re booking expecting to use it).
On the positive side, the location is good and check-in was quick and easy. Staff were okay, but not especially welcoming, I’ve definitely experienced warmer service at other hotels. It would also help if staff offered a bit more guidance for guests, such as activities, local recommendations, and tips for making the most of a stay around Mont Tremblant.
Overall, it does the job for a short stay, but if you’re booking a suite and expecting a step up in comfort, amenities, and service, you may find it a bit lacking.

Not great, especially for the price. Location is fantastic, right at the start of the village. Check in was smooth but when we got to our room we realized it’s the smallest on the floor and the worst location (stairwell right behind us, so ski boots traipsing up and down all morning and night. It is a bit run down but ok overall. What really made the experience not great is that on probably the busiest holiday weekend, they ran out of breakfast food by 9:15 (it was advertised as being available until 10). When we asked several hotel employees, we got all different answers. In the middle of high season it was hard to find a room, so ok, but for the corresponding high price, I think they could do better.
