At around 4:00 pm on the day of my reservation got a call from the receptionist at the hotel telling me that my credit card was declined and that my reservation was being cancelled. First of all, there is nothing wrong with my credit card. I used it all the time, and the number is prepopulated in my browser for when I use it online. Second, the receptionist did not even ask me to check the credit card number. She simply stated that the reservation is being cancelled. When I offered to come and pay for the reservation at check-in, she said that they are fully booked (not sure why that is relevant to my stay) and that she is canceling my reservation. That was the most rude and unprofessional interaction I have ever had. She insinuated that I did something wrong. When, in fact, I suspect that they overbooked the hotel and were looking for ways to cancel the reservations because they did not have any more space. I made a reservation about a month ahead of my stay, only to find out that my reservation was cancelled at around 4:00 pm on the day of the stay. This is totally unacceptable. Stay away from this place.
