Stayed here many times. This time Didn't get the room we booked and when questioned was told there was water damage to the half of the hotel. Questioned the pricing and was told only a slight difference in pricing. Booked on a Monday 12/1, arrived Thursday 12/4, no prior notice of this and not even notified at check-in, until asked. Also, no TV.

Restaurant service was poor. Waited 20 mins at the bar for a server who looked at us multiple times and ignored us. Then ordered good never came. Really awful.
Go across the street to the Brewery. Skip this restaurant. It's nothing special abd the service is poor.

Lovely, just lovely. I enjoyed every second of my stay in the charming historic hotel. Best complimentary breakfast I ever had and the restaurant and bar was was great too. Located down town, it was an easy stroll to some of the local restaurants and bars. It did not get above 35 degrees outside during my stay, but the heater worked fine and my room stayed warm. The staff wes friendly, professional and helpful, even providing me with a comb one morning. There where some of the creeks and clanks that you would expect to find in a hundred year old building, but I slept like a baby in a very comfortable bed. I am going back to the Ganetti every time I visit Williamsport.

Wedding Weekend Review –
I recently stayed at the Genetti Hotel for my November wedding and had a mixed experience overall.
I began coordinating a block of rooms with the hotel back in February and March. Communication during this time was frustrating—I had to email several times before getting responses, and while we eventually did secure a block, the booking link for my guests expired twice throughout the year. Each time, I had to call the hotel to have a new link created.
I also booked three rooms for myself and my wedding party for both Friday and Saturday night. Even though I had a printout clearly showing my reservation for both nights, the week of the wedding I was told that the Saturday portion of my reservation didn’t exist in their system. Thankfully, the front desk staff member I spoke with was incredibly helpful and managed to book a separate reservation to fix the issue. Still, it was a stressful situation to deal with so close to the wedding.
My fiancé arrived at the hotel ahead of me, and on his first night, his room didn’t have heat. Once he let the staff know, they did compensate him, which we appreciated.
One of the biggest advantages of the Genetti Hotel is its location—it’s within walking distance of everything downtown. This made it extremely convenient for our guests, many of whom enjoyed being able to explore the area easily without needing to drive.
Despite the earlier challenges, our guests enjoyed their stays, and I have to say the breakfast is one of the standout reasons I’d consider staying again—it was truly excellent. The rooms themselves are older, and our bathroom lights in our rooms weren’t working, so some updating or maintenance would be beneficial. But the staff was consistently friendly, and after our wedding, the bartenders at the hotel bar were warm and welcoming, which made for a very nice way to end the night.
Overall, Genetti has some great people working there and a fantastic breakfast, but the reservation issues and room conditions made parts of the experience more complicated than expected—especially during such an important weekend.
