- DRD RNov 12, 20251.0Nope. Renovations work around guests when done correctly. Contain messes, there were no tarps or efforts made to keep the mess where it should be. Room was updated but looked worn out already at the same time. Room wasn’t clean, hair everywhere. What I hope was construction residue all over the counter.

And eventually, only 1 bed was made and the other was untouched and totally ignored. No vacuumingwas done, no bathroom touch up and no trash removed. House keeping has been a horrible experience.

The property is under renovation, but the rooms are clean, updated, and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’m a picky traveler, and this place was better than I expected. Don’t let the outside fool you — we’ll stay here again.
- KAken allenAug 15, 20255.0I had written a rather unsatisfactory review a few months ago due to the "newly renovated" room we were given as having a totally useless floor plan and a handful of some other small issues. (no phone missing silverware, etc.) The candlewood Suites in Williamsport, PA has a great location close to many stores and restaurants. BTW: Breakfast directly across 3rd street at DOLLY's is always good! We stayed there again a few weeks ago and got another newly renovated room, but this time, it was great! In speaking to some of the staff, it seems that I wasn't the only one who was displeased with the previous layout. It's nice to know that the owner(s) appear to have taken my/our critique to heart. After having stayed at this hotel (and only this hotel) over the past 8-9 years whenever visiting family 2-3 times a year, the last experience almost had me change where I would stay going forward. THIS room had a single queen in a separate room and the same layout I was used to having. The furniture was all new and it also had a pull-out couch. Just very minor issues (as you will have with renovations) but the location was all the way at the opposite end of the floor away from the elevator. Close to the stairs, but after having 1 knee and 2 hip surgeries, stairs are not my favorite things! The phone cord was the wrong one, the TV hadn't been programed, (both were fixed immediately) but other than that, we were extremely pleased with our stay. We will definitely continue staying here. KUDOS!
