The decor was a little old fashioned, but we enjoyed the charm of that. Why gut it out and replace with white and bright? Very boring. This has some shades of wood that bring me back to childhood. We were out of toothpaste and the front desk gave us some complimentary toothpaste. Also, it came with free breakfast and it was impeccable: eggs, sausage, French toast, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. There was even a hotel bar for a night cap, which we took advantage of the second night of our stay. Next time we’re in Wilkes Barre, we’re staying here again.

From the outside it might just look like an average hotel but on the inside the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Their bar and restaurant are definitely not to be missed and everyone in town knows this as there are just as many pick up orders as there are guests enjoying their food! I wasnt expecting much from their pizza but was happily surprised by its perfect crust and tangy sauce. The continental breakfast is set in the restaurant serving fresh made waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage links, and more! The next time we visit Wilkes-Barre it we will not have to question where we are staying for the visit!

Seems renovated recently, but they skipped the bath, that's why I gave it a 4*. Free hot breakfast (earlier warmer;-), and the staff was super friendly.
