  Very nice hotel. Beds were very clean and had a huge shower. Loved every moment.

  The rooms in this hotel are great. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are cleaned well. Bathroom is very nice. They use Dove soft soaps and shampoo, conditioner. So it is very luxurious. Location was great for the purposes of my visit as I only needed a room to sleep in. Malls or activities were a short distance away. Lobby space is great as well. Breakfast was amazing with many options that were filling and well seasoned (I book a few hotels a year and I've run into quite a few salt and pepper breakfasts). Service was poor. Not in house service - cleaning and the man at the front desk that worked overnight during our stay from 04/07 - 04/09 were excellent. The service I am speaking on are the two individuals I had to communicate with in order to book my reservation, Deb and Angie. The process was made complicated by small errors in paperwork I received and when I checked in on revisions I was met with coldness upon receiving the revised and corrected paperwork. In a phone call I had with Deb she was very short and barely gave me room to speak. The conversation was unpleasant. I was also left for stretches of time with no updates about my reservation. When checking in I noticed the information was outdated as I shared a few revisions of my booking - I booked 20+ rooms so details were important. The man that was there overnight handled this really well, I am very grateful for his support. The price point was great so I did continue with the booking despite the complications. As I said before the hotel itself is wonderful - so I am glad I continued with this reservation. Getting to the reservation was the very complicated part.

  I use a wheelchair- a REGULAR sized wheelchair and it could not fit through the hotel door. I asked for a two bed handicap room and they don’t have them or roll away beds. The room was a little beat up, the staff was VERY friendly but couldn’t do anything.

  Not sure how many times I have stayed at this property. Whenever I visit Pittsburgh, I automatically end up staying in this property. Excellent staff, always there to help. Front desk extremely courteous and professional. Breakfast is awesome and so is the coffee. The breakfast staff are great too.

  Let me start with this -- I'm AMAZED by the number of 1 star reviews, over one minor issue. If you can't leave an honest rating then maybe you shouldn't be writing reviews. We travel from NE Ohio to Pittsburgh frequently but this was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Mifflin. Everything was as expected and some expectations were exceeded. Very friendly staff. The elevators arrived quickly. The room was clean and spacious, as were the common areas. The only time a felt a bit cramped was by the low 4th floor ceilings. It snowed overnight and the parking lot was salted in the morning. Saw a few mentions of the coffee being to strong but I thought it was one of the better cups I've had at a hotel. Large buffet style breakfast with three warmer food options as well as cereals, yogurts, breads. They also have a pretty fun pancake machine that kept a few college students very entertained 😆 *Pro tip: mix the orange juice with the mango juice. This property is everything you'd expect a Holiday Inn Express to be and I'd say a little more. If you want fancy interiors and valet parking, there are plenty of options in the city. If you want clean, comfortable and affordable with a breakfast you'd pay $18 for at a diner - this is an excellent option. ⭐ 🛩️ If you're an aviation or history buff, check out the Allegheny County Airport terminal across the street. The lobby is like stepping back into time. I've added a photo to this review.
