  Not sure how many times I have stayed at this property. Whenever I visit Pittsburgh, I automatically end up staying in this property. Excellent staff, always there to help. Front desk extremely courteous and professional. Breakfast is awesome and so is the coffee. The breakfast staff are great too.

  Let me start with this -- I'm AMAZED by the number of 1 star reviews, over one minor issue. If you can't leave an honest rating then maybe you shouldn't be writing reviews. We travel from NE Ohio to Pittsburgh frequently but this was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Mifflin. Everything was as expected and some expectations were exceeded. Very friendly staff. The elevators arrived quickly. The room was clean and spacious, as were the common areas. The only time a felt a bit cramped was by the low 4th floor ceilings. It snowed overnight and the parking lot was salted in the morning. Saw a few mentions of the coffee being to strong but I thought it was one of the better cups I've had at a hotel. Large buffet style breakfast with three warmer food options as well as cereals, yogurts, breads. They also have a pretty fun pancake machine that kept a few college students very entertained 😆 *Pro tip: mix the orange juice with the mango juice. This property is everything you'd expect a Holiday Inn Express to be and I'd say a little more. If you want fancy interiors and valet parking, there are plenty of options in the city. If you want clean, comfortable and affordable with a breakfast you'd pay $18 for at a diner - this is an excellent option. ⭐ 🛩️ If you're an aviation or history buff, check out the Allegheny County Airport terminal across the street. The lobby is like stepping back into time. I've added a photo to this review.

  Absolutely unacceptable experience at this location. My daughter and her friend (one male, one female) booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in West Mifflin and were told to leave the hotel after only a few hours due to an alleged “odor complaint.” The West Mifflin Police arrived, and officers confirmed there was NO smell, NO evidence of marijuana, and NO illegal activity of any kind. Despite this, the hotel still forced them to vacate and charged them the full room rate plus additional charges totaling over $370. To make matters worse, staff falsely reported that they “refused to leave,” when in reality they complied immediately but needed time because they did not drive and had to wait for an Uber. They were only given 15 minutes to get out, creating an unsafe and unnecessary situation for two young people who were simply trying to pack their belongings and arrange a ride. We also have serious concerns about the way they were treated, considering their age and race, and the complete lack of professionalism shown by the staff. We have reached out to the hotel, as well as to corporate, and have received no response whatsoever. No refund. No explanation. Nothing. This experience was discriminatory, unprofessional, and deeply concerning. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

  So me & my wife & 2 kids book my daughter was having here baby qe thought it was a good choice but end up brin a nightmare inspect the room makesure everything is ok it was drity hairs on the floors on the towels I took pic of everything I went back down there & talk 2 the girl Abby there she move us 2 another room we got move to 3 different rooms we were tried & we just stay there @ the last room she put us in the next day I went back there to complain & there lady there told me she couldn't do anything 4 me bc I wasn't a member, what??? & if I was a member they would get me points what am I gonna do with points, I didnt sleep all night bc that was so dusty I have bad allergies she sent a lady 2 clean out room they kept us @ the pool for almost 4 hrs like I was over there pool & the pool had a sign out side the door that read close for maintenance the next day after all of that we said we'll the pool is open went down it was close still so I call & ask they said ohh it will be open in 30 minutes 30 minutes came & left 3 hrs later we call again they told us it was gonna be close 4 the rest of the day we left they told us there were gonna refund our money and they never did there cops coming & goin like if it's a known drug place
