Located in the heart of beautiful Wellsboro, PA, just 11 miles from the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, our historic hotel was built in 1869 and transports guests to an earlier era with its rich decor and wood-burning fireplace in the lobby. Guests will also enjoy fine dining in our onsite restaurant and a full bar in our cozy lounge. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the historic restaurant before venturing out for the day. The indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, business center and guest laundry, located at the Lodge, are all available for guests at both the hotel and lodge to use. - JOJoey OldsDec 5, 20252.0Room are very dated and kinda small. Creaky old floors and no ac/heat controls in room. I was freezing (Florida Native) and had to sleep in my clothes to keep warm. Lobby carpet was filthy and the hallways are dimly lit. Place gives ya that "bet some folks hung there selves in here" kinda vibe.

Saidia was working the front desk and was very kind and showed my friends, wife and myself around the hotel and told us about the history of this place. I hope to visit this town again, and if I do I'll be sure to book at the Penn Wells Hotel. I highly recommend for anyone that is a history enthusiast.

The plumbing was interesting, the toilet would “burp” when the room above flushed and the sink drained slowly. Very limited hotel restaurant/bar hours, closing at 8PM.
