Hi! I wanted to share with y’all. Thank you for allowing me to stay at your trout lodge. I’m going to refer y’all to everyone who asks where I stayed. I stayed with my dad for my elk hunt. I can’t thank you all enough. I did write in your journal to share my brief story. I know hunting isn’t for everyone but for me it’s a tradition and I had my best hunting buddy with me. My 78 year old dad. He just sent me a photo of your chapel that I will share. A bit about the place, I stayed upstairs and my father stayed on the main level. It was the perfect place for a family to stay. Easy ramp access into the lodge. Our lodge had a full kitchen, table, covered porch, a lot of things we didn’t utilize but will next time when we come. I highly recommend staying with Medix Run Lodges and Cabin. If anyone needs to reach out to inquire more, please feel free to contact me.

My out of town family from Rochester, New York, stayed at Bear lodge and White tail lodge at Medix run lodges. They were guests at my wedding, which was held at Little Chapel in the Woods. It was so nice to have the lodging so close to the chapel. The owners, John and Liz were absolutely wonderful. My family loved the cabins, and the general store. The cabins were clean and well maintained. John and Liz were very welcoming, personable and accommodating. My family absolutely loved their stay and are saving money for another visit soon. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. A big thank you to John and Liz for everything you do.

Stayed here for my dad's wedding. It's basically a little apartment, but without the running water, bathroom, and shower. There are shower houses and bathhouses for use, and there are also water stations available where you can fill up bottles or buckets. The one we stayed in was two cabins adjacent to one another with a shared porch. One side was a single bedroom efficiency with microwave and mini fridge. The other side was identical, but it had a staircase and a loft with a second bed. The couches were insanely comfortable, as were the beds. Cellular service is beyond spotty and you are better off attempting the Wi-Fi connection. Be warned though that the Wi-Fi connection is not strong from cabins one through four. Once you reach cabin four, you start to get a signal, which is strongest near the little travel shop and bath house. They outright tell you that the Wi-Fi is not for streaming because you aren't going to maintain a signal. There is an outhouse close to cabins one through four, a little shower house nearby, and if you go up to the shop and larger bath house, there are sinks and shower stalls. Location lost a star for me because where the GPS tells you it is is not accurate, it's actually a little slightly down the hill and it's a sharp left hand turn if you come from the little church. Honestly though it's probably because of the lack of signal. Our GPS would not connect until we were part way down the mountain, so we had to rely on written directions.

I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my visit at Medix Run. The lodge I rented was just wonderful. Love the screened in back porch and balcony and the fire pit. My friend and I actually cooked a steak dinner over the fire while we were there. It’s surrounded by woods and it’s just wonderfully quiet. John and Liz were awesome hosts and were there if we needed anything. I am planning to go back in the future for another wonderful weekend.
