Im am absolutely furious right now! Probably shouldn't write this review right now! My wife and I are IHG Diamond Elite members and stay at Holiday Inn's just about every weekend!
We call this location back on February 12th and spoke to someone about having our granddaughters 6th birthday swimming party. Was told all we had to do was book a room for the weekend and we could use the pool area, but due to remodeling that was going on the conference room was unavailable, but that the breakfast area would be made available to us.
Fast forward to today and one of the managers "Tina" said NO WAY that anyone would of told us we could do this. That the swimming pool was closed and they DO NOT allow outside people to use the pool, only registered guests. Obviously we were very upset! I asked to speak to someone above her! The general manager got on the phone and said she would find out who told us we could do this but that the pool was closed and we were out of luck!!! Thus is absolutely crazy to me!!! Im going to take this as high as I can go!!!! They should not do this to people!!!
I absolutely do not recommend this Holiday Inn!
I would love for someone from corporate to contact me!!! This is definitely not over!!!

I arrived for my stay on March 3 after driving 5 hours the hotel tells me that I've canceled my reservation. I DID NOT CANCEL. I paid for my room online and the hotel tells me there are no rooms they are fully booked. Now they have 200 of my dollars and I have no room. Then Johnathan tries to tell me I have to pay again which I refused to do.I ended up going to another hotel that provided excellent customer care and a better room I will not stay at another Holiday Inn because of this horrible experience Uniontown Holiday Inn Express is one the worst with customer service

I stayed here with my family during Thanksgiving of 2025 for a few nights.
The main reason for choosing this was due to the location, a pool, and Breakfast being included.
We were surprised to find out just a couple hours before checking in that the pool was down and would be down for our entire stay. The hotel staff was super generous and ended up, giving us a discount on the room without even asking due to the issue with the pool being down.
The room - spacious. More than enough room to set up the pack and play and have more than ample room for the kids to run around. However, the room was not clean and you could tell it was regularly neglected. The drawers were absolutely disgusting, we did not use them at all. There was a layer of film on parts of the bathtub. microwave - yuk. Carpet - large stains and didn’t look vacuumed. The power cord situation is one I can say I haven’t seen before in a hotel. Complaining would not have changed anything as you could tell it was the norm for their cleaning. It wasn’t just one missed area. It was several missed areas and layers. (See photos)
We had also set the thermostat to 70. When we came back one evening around 11pm, we walked in to a 78 degree room. We did call the front desk who suggested setting both thermostats to the same temp (there was one labeled that said to use the wall thermostat as the one by the window doesn't control temp), so we did set them both to 65 degrees. By morning it was still 75 degrees in the room. This happened our last night there so not worth switching rooms with an infant and another young child around midnight, although they did offer to move us.
The breakfast - pancake maker was broken the entire time. This was really disappointing because the rest of the breakfast was absolutely a zero on a scale from 1 to 5. Expired dairy products (milk specifically), no fresh fruit (we saw the same ONE old banana there all mornings), stale and overcooked breakfast meat. This was the worst breakfast I have ever seen at any hotel. (See photos) I don’t understand why management couldn’t just run over to the super Walmart that was next-door and pick up some fresh fruit or even some heat and serve pancakes. The same burned, stale omelettes were served all mornings. You could tell they were just reheated each mornings. As we were getting ready to check out, I actually saw them finally put fresh egg product down, which was unfortunate as it was the very last morning and minutes before we were departing, after we had already “eaten” our breakfast.
As I am getting ready to make reservations for a trip to the same area It just brought back all the feelings and the disappointment in the overall hotel experience. I wasn’t going to do a review, but after re-looking at the photos months later, I am re-realizing how bad it was. We will be looking at alternate hotel options for our upcoming stay.
Hopefully it has gotten better because there were a lot of things wrong with our stay. We usually don’t hesitate to book at a Holiday Inn express knowing the standards, but I definitely am second-guessing our stays in the future.
