  I had no air conditioning in room I asked the front desk about it they said it’s because it’s cold out and they have it off. However I had several family members in different rooms and they all had air conditioning. Prior to entering room the heat was on so I slept in the heat in sweat

  The hotel was good and there's plenty of places to go eat outside

  Was going to stay here for my son’s birthday but had unfortunate events happen and had to cancel. Booked through Expedia and it was pay ahead. I thought I had cancelled the hotel ahead but when I got the upcoming reservation in my email I canceled right away but still had a charge. I contacted the other strousberg hotel and they told me I wouldn’t be charged. But I was. Found out it was wrong hotel and contacted this one. They wouldn’t budge at all with a refund bc they are strict with their policy their franchise created. Beware!

  The parking lot was full of ice. Only the driving lanes were clear not the actual spaces so walking was very hazardous. The pool was closed the entire time because of a broken heater. They told us the pool would be fixed before we left but of course that was a lie (holidays, part was on order, etc.). The ice machines were broken on every floor. The first floor bathroom was partially out of order and never fixed. Only 1 out of 2 elevators were working. Only 2 towels were provided in a room meant for 4 people so we had to make a special trip downstairs once we were already settled. Breakfast was ok but old lady attendant was rude and radiated negative energy to the whole area. Not enough seats were available for people to eat. Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day but never came to our room during our 4 day stay even though we called twice to make sure. Front desk attendant on 2nd shift said it "wasn't her problem to fix". Avoid this place!!! We come to PA every year for new years weekend and will definitely not stay here again.

  We usually love hampton inn. But this specific one was not the same. It was messy most of the time amd missing things at breakfast and tea station. Front desk staff incredibly rude and refused to help with smallest requests. When there was no hot water and after waiting for 20 mins for someone to appear at the front desk, a person came and said that she can not bring hot water, when I asked who can he started yelling and called someone and said she will not service me bc I am rude. Another person came and she was incredibly dimeaning and told me to calm down and to leave the front desk or she will throw me out of the hotel. I said she xan not, she zaid "watch me" and called the police. All bc I asked for hot water for my 2 kids. The police came. They said they agree that is it rediculous and uncalled cor, but if staff doesn't want us there, we havs to leave. It was a clear show of power of front desk staff bc they did not want to do their job. I will not be returning to Hampton inn ever again, although we stayed there conzistently over.the years. Shame shame shame on this property. Should really choose who you.hire
