Smol TV in room. Staff was nice. Location is awesome. Parking was ridiculous at $28/night.

My room was right next to the highway 279 and I could not sleep well the first night because of the traffic noise from the highway. I bought ear plugs the second day. Parking is $28 per night, which is kind of a hidden cost from the inexpensive hotel rate. The hotel has a good location and you can walk to nearby museums and cross the bridge to downtown. However, if I revisit the city, I will be more selective.

In the heart of the stadium scene, with lots of dining/drinking choices nearby (basic choices, need to look to find something special) The city is a rebuilding phase, a lot of depressed areas and homelessness on the perohiry.

My overally experience wasnt horrible. The breakfast staff was very attentive to the dining area. She was getting all the trash and cleaning up frequently. Between her and her kicltchen partner, they kept everything running smoothly. My checking in process was not much of an issue. In one of my rooms, there was a cigarette butt in the coffee keirug. Front desk was notified about it, not that it looked like it went anywhere. The best part about the hotel is that theres parking ($28), close to the stadiums, and close access to the highways. Out of everything, the only negative thing i would comment on would be the telephone service I received from the manager Terry, Jerry, something like that. Long story short, I called to give a heads up that I disputed transaction on my bank, given that the wrong amount was charged to my account. The manager felt the need to mentioned he was the manager, I counted three times on the call, for no real reason. Especially considering when I called, I asked the agent if I can talk to the manager. Just another person that gets off with having a title. At the end of the call, that manager did say he will dispute it when it comes his way. Not sure whats to dispute. You and I both agree that the amount I was charge is the inaccurate amount. Just charge me what the correct should be once the claim makes it to your hands. Simple. No need to say your disputing anything. I sense the rudeness earlier in the call but I didnt Acknowledge it. Throughout the whole call, I didnt Acknowledge his rude customer service. And like I stated in the beginning of the call, I was calling to give them a heads up so we can get things cleared up faster and I pay my bill sooner then later. Again, alot more to that story and experience. That combined with upon checking in and seeing another customer arguing/debating their bill, did not make for 3 or more stars. I rarely speak bad on any business. I give a fair chance and encourage others to still check out the business, even if I do not like it. And I review alot of businesses, especially hotels. That being said, holiday inn express, take it from someone whose participated in multiple managerial trainings and seminars. Your guy needs a refresher on how to handle customers, and i was not threatening or escalating the situation. I felt the urge to drive back to town to speak 1 to 1 with your so call manager.
