This place was pretty nice. The front desk staff was weird—no "hi" or "welcome," just looking down and talking to each other like they weren't at work. My husband said the overnight guy was pretty helpful. The laundry guy was so friendly and all smiles, and very welcoming. Maybe he should be at the front desk; he was more welcoming than the front desk staff. Other than that, this place was pretty clean and relaxing.

Rating four out of five stars simply because the room itself could be a little nicer, particularly the bathroom. Also there was not a pen anywhere and I needed one. Otherwise, Marcus at the front desk was amazing. Great guy! Very personable and put me in a renovated room. The bed was nice and it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to work the remote. The screencast didn’t work, and I don’t know if it was a problem with my phone or the TV. But I was here to explore Pittsburgh, not watch TV! • The hotel itself is in a GREAT location! It’s a 2-minute drive from a Giant Eagle Market District store. I’d never been to one. This off-site grocery store has has freshly made subs, fresh pizza that you can buy per slice or a whole pie, freshly made sushi, and so much more. It was amazing and extremely convenient. Highly recommend! • The hotel is also located about half a mile from an on-ramp to I-376. The drive to downtown was between 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Fortunately, Pittsburgh’s downtown has ample parking and is fairly reasonably priced. The hotel is also close to I-79, but I don’t recall using that interstate. • Overall, I’d suggest staying here, renting a car, and exploring the area that way instead of staying in an expensive downtown hotel and taking a rideshare everywhere. Use those savings to try new food and have fun!
