Live German cockroaches were present in the room, including near the bed. This represents a serious sanitation failure and a lapse in pest control oversight. The room should not have been placed into service in this condition. While the stay was comped, the underlying issue remains concerning.

Nice Hampton Inn. Overall appearance looks fine, can use some updates but mostly good. Bfast and coffee area clean and full. Front staff very welcome and notice those with Hilton Honors.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Didn’t really feel welcomed during my stay. And the window or its unit leaks bad and everything I had sitting on top of it was soaked, the microwave plate is entirely too big for the microwave and makes such a loud noise when in use. The ice machine had gnats in the ice so check your ice. No vending machines available. Looked like they were removed if they were next to the ice machine. Also, there was no mention that breakfast wouldn’t be available prior to me booking via my companies app or the Hiltons website. I checked in just to be told there will be to-go bags instead due to renovations. And the free hot breakfast is my number one reason for booking business trips. That was very disappointing. And the to-go bags had 2 tiny mandarins, a tiny water bottle, and to-go waffle. Not only was I disappointed about the breakfast, but prior to checking in, I chatted via the Hilton app with front desk staff and informed them I had a service pet. Upon checking out 7 days later, they charged me $50 pet fee. Not only that, I informed them upon check in that my personal card had to be used for any incidentals, and what do you know? My companies card was charged instead. Amex contacted the hotel to have them refund the company card, and charge my personal card. But why was I even charged a pet fee when I had a service animal? They need better communication as a whole. Would not stay here again!

Stayed here for one night recently on a work trip. I chose this location because a co-worker lives nearby and we commuted to downtown together, which was about 25 minutes during rush hour via Glenwood Bridge and 2nd Ave. I’m usually a harsh hotel critic but I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The 2 ladies at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again.
