Our heat was broken, we called down around 2pm to have someone come look at. Around 730pm we called the front desk for a follow up because nobody ever came albut nobody answered the phone. We decided to go down to the front desk and waited for 15mins and it was unoccupied. So when we came back from dinner around 1030pm we asked what happened and the lady proceeded to tell us that she thought someone did go fix it and to double check. We went to check and it was still 66 degrees in the room. I went back downstairs and there was someone new there. I explained to her what happened and she apologized and said that the maintenance worker wasn't there that late and to speak to the manager in the morning and I could be compensated with points. The next morning was checkout, went to speak with a manager and she just apologized and said she would let her supervisor know. So no compensation. Very unorganized, and doesn't seemed equipped to handle inconveniences in a timely fashion.

Book for the views… stay for the amenities! Homewood Suites in University City is a terrific hotel. It’s the perfect “stay away from home” — relaxing, comforting, and genuinely satisfying. Along with the full kitchen, heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, and generous complimentary breakfast, the location itself is a major win. There’s so much to do and explore in University City, and I won’t gate‑keep this part: if you want a front‑row seat to the New Year’s Eve fireworks, this is absolutely the place to book. You can enjoy the show right from your room. Very happy Hilton Honors member, 💞👍🏾

Honestly, I rarely leave bad reviews but this place definitely takes the cake for the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I received Paronychia (nail infection) from how dirty this place is, despite me being a very clean person. You can see the stains/bacteria on the sink handle and the shower curtain rod. The employees need training on how to properly clean and disinfect. Furthermore, I went 3-4 days without housekeeping bringing new towels / changing the trash. They also claim they knocked on the door when I was waiting patiently for towels RIGHT BY THE DOOR, and if you've ever stayed here you know the walls are PAPER THIN. There were 1 or 2 nice employees, but for the most part, the rest were very unpleasant to deal with. I wish I took the names of the employees because there was one that overheard me talking about an extra comforter in the elevator and personally offered to bring it to my room, and so I would hate for him to get mixed up with the rest. There was maybe one front desk lady that was nice, the rest were very rude and had zero smiles what-so-ever. They seem to need multiple lessons in hospitality. The card system to access the elevator/hotel was also defective. I had to stay outside in the cold more than once while I waited for Valet to come and open the door. I thought maybe my card defective, but it turned out to be the card reader. Furthermore, earlier in the week, I tried to get my card changed (as it stopped working due to being placed in my wallet) and the front desk was very rude about the entire interaction. They clearly did not want to do their job. This might be one of the only bad reviews I've ever left, which is very telling for the experience I had here.

Kayla gave us the nastiest attitude. Lamont & Gabby were absolutely amazing to our concerns. Our room had dirty sheets , freezing cold water. Had to beg to speak with management. When housekeeping came, they remade our bed with our same sheets with makeup stains on the pillow. Literal worse vacation of our lives.
