We were in town for 2 nights to attend my cousin's funeral. We chose this hotel for the convenience of having a mini suite kitchen, free breakfast and close proximity to the funeral. Overall we had a good stay. Our studio suite was nice and spacious, clean, comfortable king bed and nice walk in shower. The front desk staff and customer service deserves 5 stars. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Thank you to our bartender for his red wine recommendation. The rose wine by "Josh" was a great choice. Purchased a bottle at the supermarket on my way home. Also their wing dings are quite good especially with the sweet chili sauce. Overall good stay!

Terrible stay. First room wasn’t ready when we opened the door it took three tries to get a usable room. Restaurant service was rude and pushy, and management promised to comp our meal the next night but still charged us in full. Unacceptable.

I came to Philadelphia under very difficult circumstances. My grandfather, a loving and deeply caring man, was given only days left to live. If you’ve ever had the privilege of knowing a grandfather like that, consider yourself truly blessed—as I do. While he continues to fight, my cousin generously gifted me a stay at this location during one of the heaviest moments our family has ever faced. I arrived emotionally overwhelmed and not fully present. More than once, I realized I didn’t have my cards on me. I went upstairs at least three times trying to gather myself before attempting to grab something to eat. Grief has a way of disorienting you like that. The first person I encountered was Luis. His warmth and kindness were immediate. Somehow, he even managed to make me smile. When he noticed my situation, he offered to cover my food without hesitation. I did find my card in time, but that small—yet powerful—gesture meant more than I can put into words. Luis is vibrant, compassionate, and genuinely caring. God bless him. Another staff member was also incredibly patient and understanding in that moment, which did not go unnoticed, though I didn’t catch his name. The next morning, I came down for breakfast and was met with that same sense of care. The two young women attendants were gracious, attentive, and efficient, making sure everything was well stocked. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful—exactly what I needed. As I was leaving, TJ and Thomas assisted me, and they were among the friendliest people anyone could hope to encounter during one of life’s most pivotal and emotional moments. They shared insight on transportation from a Philly resident’s point of view, kept me engaged, and genuinely sought common ground—something that feels increasingly rare these days. I left feeling as though family had taken care of me. People are quick to speak up when things go wrong. I make it a point to speak up when things go right. This place—and more importantly, the people here—showed compassion when I needed it most. I will never forget that. As for my grandfather, Elder Goldwire McLendon—this is what he gave to the world, and his legacy continues through my cousins and I. My message to you is this: follow your dreams, lead with kindness like the people I encountered here, and remember that even in our darkest moments, compassion is how we keep one another standing.

I am professionally trained concert dancer that stayed here for a job. There was a problem with my account and I left my card at home on accident but Nadira and Kayla still took care of me! The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, I enjoyed the evening social, and the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. I felt at ease and at home at Homewood Suites! Thank you all again! ❤️
