The staff were extremely nice and incredibly responsive. They fixed every issue we had within just a couple minutes. The rooms were nice, large size, didn't smell weird. The beds were very comfortable. It's a really good location because it's right next to terminal market, but just keep in mind that the city of Philadelphia in general has a lot of homeless people and it's a little sketchy at night... But that's not something the hotel can control. Also, it says somewhere online that breakfast is included, and that's not correct. You have to pay for it separately.

Very disappointed. The bathroom was not cleaned well when I moved in. Free WiFi is low quality (decent WiFi is not free) and they make you fill out a ridiculously long form with personal information just to connect to it. They can’t even give you free bottled water, it’s $3 for a tiny bottle they leave in your room when a much larger bottle is $2.49 at cvs across the street. It’s not the cost but their attitude - you can’t afford to stock your rooms with free water, seriously? On top of everything some kids were throwing a party on my floor in broad daylight on a week day and it’s been very noisy. I don’t recommend this hotel. This is not the level of services people expect in 2025-2026. The only good thing about this hotel is location, but there are lots of hotels on this street / across the street.

We booked and stayed at the hotel for new year’s eve 12/31/2025. After going outside to see some of the fire works my friend and I came back inside the hotel and quietly sat in the lobby. There was an older white woman sitting in the lobby behind us maybe in her 40’s. She had left the hotel briefly and came back and sat down during the time we spent in the lobby. Even though we were already checked in an older staff member of the hotel (he was wearing a suit i’m not sure if he was a manager) who asked us for our room number and what name the reservation was under. Then he went to the front desk and verified the information. An hour later he walked back over to my friend and I and told us that he needed to see our keys, this hotel only gives out digital keys so I pulled out the app and showed him he said “ I don’t want to see that shit I don’t know how it works I need to see a physical key” and I politely asked him if there was a bigger issue or some other information that I could provide because previously I watched him check our reservation at the front desk. Then he starts telling us that people are scamming the hotel so he needs to see our physical keys. As this exchange is happening groups of people are walking in and out of the hotel with no issues, no checks not being stopped, nothing. I point this out that their information was not verified but ours was he told me I don’t care about them because I’m talking to you. I reminded him that he had already checked our reservation at the front desk. He began to hover over me and started to shout don’t tell me how to do my job, I calmly reminded him that this wasn’t my intention and I was unsure of where the miscommunication was coming from. My voice was never raised during this interaction and I stayed seated on the couch in the lobby and I called my friend who had made the reservation to speak with this man. He escalated by standing over me and shouting that I needed to get up and leave the hotel or he would call the cops on me. And I reminded him that I was a guest and I wasn’t sure of what was the bigger issue and where his attitude was coming from. He kept shouting at me that he was going to call the cops on me and dismissed me and said he wasn’t going to speak to me anymore and began only speaking to my friend (who was male) and he continued to disrespect me by saying “i’m done with her she’s pissing me off”. I’m very concerned about the discrimination policies of this hotel towards its guests because this interaction made no sense. This was a very disappointing experience especially on New years as it was my last day in the city before I traveled back home to the bay area.I would not recommend this hotel AT ALL.

The location is probably the best thing about this Hilton. Lots of things to do, places to eat within a few steps or a 10 minute walk. The bedding was tattered and stained, the building is kind of beat up (elevators, walls, etc.), and I didn't like not having a luggage rack to set my luggage on. The toilet paper is 1-ply which is just cheap, and it's just a very basic hotel for what you pay. Most of the employees were pretty nice (especially housekeeping) but one lady at the front desk pretty abruptly told me to go use the self service kiosk for some items I was going to buy from the convenience food area - she was just sitting there, playing on her phone, with no other customers, so I felt like that was pretty unnecessary since other employees had no problem just billing things to my room. So overall, I give this Hilton a 2.5. I wouldn't stay here again.

I spent three nights at this hotel in mid-December. Overall, it was a positive experience! I stayed in a regular king room.
Pros:
Location- EASY walking distance to historical points, Wanamaker light show, and the Christmas Village.
EVERYTHING in my room was extremely clean- bed, counters, bathroom surfaces, towels, etc.
There was a TON of storage in the room. It had a good-sized closet, a shelf/drawer thing, and LARGE cabinets under the television. Especially for a longer stay, it was easy to unpack and get comfortable.
All of the staff were helpful, kind, and friendly. I did not speak to a single person who was not smilingly helpful. They were definitely a massive asset for this hotel. Terence was particularly helpful to our group- give that houseman a raise!
CONS:
My room, at least, had the strangest shower I've ever used. The water controls and showerhead were on the opposite end of where the exceptionally HEAVY door opened, meaning that I had to reach in to turn the water on to warm up and then try to get my arm out before getting it drenched with freezing cold water.
I am, admittedly, short. (5'2") Neither of the two chairs in the room- a desk chair and an armchair- allowed me to sit all the way back AND have my feet on the floor. A footrest would be nice! (Granted, had I asked for one, I'm willing to bet I would've been given one.)
Also on the topic of my height- the showerhead was adjustable, but it was literally so high that I couldn't reach it to change the settings!
TL;DR- I didn't choose this hotel (my company did) but I would 100% stay there again. The "pros" are BIG and the "cons" are small- give this one a try!
