Location is great. Shuttle is efficient. Rooms were horrible. Mold or some strange black substance was growing around the edge of the ceiling. Water damage to the ceiling of the bathroom so there were bubbles in the ceiling. Stains on the sheets. Including a brown stain on the bottom sheet, red on the top sheet. There were broken Ethernet/phone cables open on the side of the walls. The TV was at best 480p. No mini fridge. No room service since their system was down, even though it was advertised as still having room service. Also a $100 per night safety deposit for a horrible room?

The room smelled funny, almost like it was a smoking room even though there have been non-smoking rooms forever. The coffee pot in the room didn’t work. The service checking in was awful. I checked in on the app the day prior to my trip, yet my room was not ready at 4:10pm. The lady was rude, unapologetic, didn’t offer the complimentary cookies. And was told to come back in 20 minutes. My room was not ready until 4:40. And again same lady, rude, and unapologetic. The restaurant service was good, but the food was absolutely terrible.

This is a solid 3.5 to 4 star experience, so I opted for 4. I think some of the reviews are a little harsh. Granted, its not the prettiest hotel. And in fact it does have a somewhat gloomy vibe. There were some signs indicating some renovation is in progress. However, the main things that I needed in a quick hotel stay were present. Bed and bedding were comfortable, room and hotel overall were clean. The pool was nice and warm. It had a nice fitness center too, which I didn't use. They also gave 2 free cookies upon check-in :)

So let me start by saying the people that worked there were helpful at the front desk… however, the cleaning crew needs to be re-evaluated.. checked in to my room late Thursday at 2am.. First thing.. Toilet wasn’t even flushed. Still had urine in the toilet. Found a few candy wrappers in the room as well so the sheets being clean was questionable. This being The Double Tree by Hilton and wanting to charge $100 deposit a night plus having to pay $25 parking fees but the rooms don’t even have a refrigerator??? That’s crazy. I’ve stayed in a lower class hotel and they had a refrigerator. I’ve read the reviews about “renovation” but how long will that be? I was in town on business at the same time seeing my daughter. I will tell you this.. I won’t stay at this hotel anymore. Paying high dollar for low quality.. Terrible. And this is right next to the airport. Take a uber to the town for a better experience

Rooms are gross. Needed vacuumed desperately, trash was left from previous guest plus hair in the shower. No sink soap available - I had to use my body wash to wash my hands. The AC unit was extremely loud and dated, making it hard to sleep. It smelled bad, I had to stop by a store and get a candle during my stay. Water damage all over the room and stained wallpaper. Also stained drapes, holes in the walls, and extremely dusty. My throat hurt each morning, probably because of all the visible dust. The towel holder fell off the wall any time I took a towel from it. Stained sheets and towels. Shower curtain dragged on the bathroom floor. Probably won’t ever stay at a Doubletree again after this.
