- KVKay ValentineSep 3, 20252.0We stayed at Mt. Pleasant Holiday Inn Express over Labor Day for a week. The facility is nice, the rooms were spacious and clean. We requested room service for every other day as we knew they were busy. However, our room was only cleaned once on the last day of our stay. We would get home late and then call down to see if we could at least get clean towels. The phone was never answered. We went down ourselves to pick up the towels and on multiple occasions no one was at the front counter. One time the front desk person was sitting in the food area drinking coffee and although they saw we were waiting there, didn't say anything until we asked her if she worked there. We had to pick up towels, take out our garbage and get our own toilet paper. 3 days we went down to get breakfast and found a sign saying no breakfast, sorry for the inconvenience. At one point I asked to speak to the manager and was told he wasn't there. I asked for a phone number but it wasn't answered. I understand that it is not easy to find good workers but this was definitely a manager problem. He needs to hire more people and then pay those that work hard well.
