The stay itself was fine, but I experienced issues with both billing and communication. I was charged a cancellation fee after canceling by midnight in my home/travel time zone, as the policy did not specify that the deadline was based on the hotel’s local time, despite rebooking and staying during the original dates. Additionally, a false fire alarm at 3 a.m. caused disruption, and while an apology note was provided, clearer and faster communication would have been appreciated.

Terrible experience. I booked this hotel through Orbitz back in August for a one-night December stay. After a late-night flight, I arrived to check in at 1:00 a.m. and was told they did not have a room for me, despite my confirmed reservation. I was informed that rooms were available but were being held for military personnel who had not yet checked in.
I am 7 months pregnant and exhausted. The staff told me they were unsure if their neighboring hotel had availability and suggested they could “walk me over” — in 20-degree weather, snowing, in the middle of the night.
When the front desk agent spoke with the night shift manager, Audrey Romero, to explain my frustration and concerns, the only “solution” she offered was threatening to call the police instead of attempting to resolve the situation or assist a pregnant guest left without accommodations.
This was beyond unprofessional, unsafe, and unacceptable. Poor communication, zero accountability, and complete lack of empathy. I would never recommend staying here. I worked in hospitality for over five years and never would have handled the situation in this manner.

Clean rooms. The restaurant/bar was decorated so well for Christmas! Service is great. VERY close to the airport, so if you don't sleep well with the occasional jet flying over maybe pick a hotel further from the airport. Overall great stay - my go-to when I'm in Pitt.

My friends and I went to the Shivering Snowman pop-up bar for cocktails and appetizers. The bar was so cute! The specialty cocktail menu was extensive and had a cute Christmas themed name. Every cocktail we tried was delicious, so was BBQ chicken flat bread that we ordered out waitress, Fiona, was outstanding! She was friendly, attentive and so kind, she even took some group photos for us.
