My wife is currently staying at the Great Valley Homestay Suites by Hilton Philadelphia. She took my daughter and 3 of her friends to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday. They wanted to have a fun night and got a 2 bedroom “suite”. The hotel is run down, the room is absolutely filthy. The pool has a weird smell and gave my daughter a rash. The carpets and curtains are stained, the furniture is ripped. A Motel 6 would’ve probably been a better choice. My wife tried to address it with the front desk and the lady there shrugged her shoulders and said “we’re renovating”… in the meantime, you’re charging clients to stay at this dump? No refund or alternative place to stay was offered to my wife. Something should be done to make this right. What a disgrace.

We recently stayed at this hotel and it wasn't a great experience. We got there on a Friday evening and their wi-fi was out, so we couldn't get a room key. The front desk clerk had to walk us to our room to let us in. We finally managed to get one the next morning, but the a.m. clerk was still struggling with their system. We had no wi-fi during our entire stay. And there was no hot water for the shower. Finally, we had Japanese ladybugs invade our room. I told the front desk and asked for housekeeping to help, but I couldn't see they tried to help at all. I wouldn't suggest staying here.

My family and I had checked into this hotel on Wednesday, Nov. 5,25 we unpacked everything and got everything done. Go to get in shower and no hot water amd the shower was very complex with no indication of which knob was for what. I didnt think too much about the hot water I figured maybe the hot water tank is low or something. I then get in the shoqer the next night same thing no hot water. This hotel was being renovated while we were there also and we had to walk around the outside to get to the front desk. So I got a text from Traci the manager asking how our stay is told her we have no hot water so she came down on Friday night opened the room across the hotel so we could move but before we did that we checked it and no hot water there either. So at this point they are having a hot water issue ans Im sorry but I forgot to mention we were going to stay here the week before this too and I got a call saying that they would have no water Monday or Tuesday. Saturday morning comes and house keeping is asking if we are checked out and I said no we are staying. I go to the front desk because the hilton site said they had 3 room available so i booked it then to be told by this ignorant women Michelle that it wasnt correct and that we had to move out and I said well tjats not happening right now need boxes and a truck. Let me day one thing though Traci the night before said well if you want to check out you can and aill refind everything I was like right we are going to check out at 930 at night on a friday night and et a truck and whatnot yea no. So I go to start getting boxes and the cops pull up and say they will give us til 3 and if they come back and we arent out get arrested. I was like yea well thats not happening and they are loats the cops didnt listen to our side or anything. The app os unreliable dont use it. So we pack up and all and I ask to speak with Traci and I texted the number and today is Tuesday, Nov 11,25 and I still have no phone call or anything. So with that being said Id like my money returned since we had no hot water. Im not excepting a full 500 and whatever bit Id like at least 250 back for no hot water for the days we were there. Traci had to put a emergency call in for a plumber and no one ever came. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone I have never had a manager make me feel like I wasnt welcomed there after Tracis remark to us on Friday night. Id like to speak with someone high up and Im requesting money back.

Spent 3 total nights here 2 weeks apart. During my first visit I found the room had quite a bit of dust in it, and the tv remote did not work with either TV in the room. My next stay was for 2 nights in a row, and I found a dirty towel behind a door...room was much cleaner, and remote worked with both tvs. Apparently there was some magic tragic to getting into the room this time, and I had to seek the desk for assistance. They answered my call for assistance timely and was able to show me what I had done wrong to get into my room. Definitely a big difference between each stay. Hopefully next time I am back I will be able to have a 5star experience and be able to update this to reflect it.

The location of Homewood Suites in Malvern is very convenient, and the hospitality at the front desk was excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There are renovations happening right now, but it wasn’t a big issue during our stay. We had a king suite on the first floor, and it’s a nice setup with a small kitchenette and a full-size refrigerator, which makes it great for a few days or even a longer visit.
There were a few issues worth noting. The kitchen sink produced no water even though the valve was open, the stovetop was cracked and one of the burners didn’t look very usable. The TV in the living room area also didn’t fully function or display all channels, as shown in the photo I uploaded. The kitchenette comes with plates, dishes, silverware, a small coffee maker, a microwave, and a dishwasher, but only one pan to cook with. If you plan on doing any cooking, you may want to bring your own cookware.
On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, and there are two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living area, which is a nice touch. The only other small drawback was that every time someone in our room or nearby flushed a toilet, we could hear water draining loudly through our shower drain, which was especially noticeable at night.
Overall, these things weren’t enough to keep me from staying here again, especially once the renovations are complete. It’s a comfortable and convenient place that could be great once everything is fully updated.
