- TGTimothy GannonDec 31, 20252.0A few weeks ago, I stayed at this Tru by Hilton in Lancaster. I must say, I was very disappointed with this Hilton property. It took a while to be checked in, as the clerk was chatting with another employee and I was never recognized as a Hilton Honors member. The hallway to my room was very dirty and appeared to have not been vacuumed for some time. The bed was a mattress on a piece of plywood that made noise every time I moved and even though I was not facing the road, the room was very noisy. The breakfast was sub-par, and the brown sugar for the lukewarm oatmeal was hard as a rock both mornings. I filled out my questionnaire which I received a few days after my stay, and I asked for a follow-up. I never heard back from anyone!

Carpets in hallways were filthy, pool area was just as bad, rooms lacked floor cleaning around furniture. If more attention were paid to basic floor cleaning it would be a 5 star review easy.

The hallways are dirty, the rooms very, very cramped for two double beds, much less two queens; but the worst was the fact the beds had simply been remade with the sheets from the last guests. We slept on top of the bed covers because there was remnants of the last sleepers in the sheets. Additionally, a lot of various things throughout the hotel are broken -walls with holes, plugs in the business center, etc. Very disappointed.
