My mother ripped her leg open getting into her bed on an exposed metal mattress support that was protruding 3 inches beyond the mattress in 2 places. We couldn't move it, because it was secured in place with screws. This was very upsetting for our entire family, relatives and friends. There were 14 of us staying there for 3 days for our son's wedding. To say we're all very upset is an understatement. This kind of negligence should never, ever have happened in the first place. Housekeeping could not miss this frame sticking out while changing sheets. And to not receive a reply to my email is demoralizing and has only fueled our anger more. My poor mother will have a terrible scar from her injury. It has been 2 weeks and the injury is still 2 inches in diameter. Due to not getting a reply, we are taking the next step at this point and contacting our lawyer.
