The rooms are spacious, but not clean. Shelves were dusty, pillowcases were stained, sheets were stained (obvious, offensive stains that could have been bleached out, textuted stains...I questioned how well the sheets were washed). There were many towels provided as well as utensils, plates, etc. Cathy at the front desk had an amazing attitude. There is a great bagel place walking distance and a fish store that's almost like a free aquarium. This place could be really nice if they expand their cleaning staff!!

If you are thinking of staying at the Candlewood Suites in Lancaster, RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! I only gave them a 1 because you cannot give less. The worst stay ever. The hotel was old and dirty. The fridge was broken and making a rattling noise all night. The worst part was when my wife and I woke up at 2am in a dead sleep and both said "FIRE". There was smoke coming in from the AC/Heating wall unit. We ran out of our hotel thinking that the hotel was on fire and down to the front desk. There was no person there so I yelled. I think the lady was sleeping in the back. She moved our room by like 3am which smelled like an ash tray so we asked to move again. By 4am we got to our third room but didn't go back to sleep. I asked for a manager to call once we checked out and they never did. Not only would I never recommend the Candlewood Suites in Lancaster but I would never recommend any of IHG properties. Worst experience ever at a hotel stay.

This hotel was a horrible experience. I was going there so I could go to a job site. I get to the room and all night long the refrigerator is making a horrible loud noise. Then my company sent all the information for it to be paid for by them instead of checking they charged my card and also had a hold on my card for potential damage to the room. The company had already put a credit card there to be charged but they didn't check so instead of doing their due diligence they just asked for my credit card and charged me. The rest wasn't bad the room was clean it was just the sound of the refrigerator and the miscommunication about the payments. Update: they did say they were gonna get it fixed.

Been trying to get in contact with the manager since Saturday, October 11th to ask for a refund, but he “hasn’t been available,” so I guess I’m left to post this here. THERE ARE BED BUGS HERE. (Go ahead and chatgpt my picture attached if you dont believe me!) I’m hoping and praying none traveled back home with me. My friends and I noticed this as soon as we returned from an event and were beginning to get ready for bed. Immediately, we left and went to the front. We were told we couldn’t receive a refund and ended up driving 3 hours back to our home at 12:15 am. Again, I’ve been trying to get in contact with the manager every single day since then, to no avail. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to stay here. The entire hotel should be closed for fumigation- you don’t want to bring these to your own house!!!!! Be warned!!!! **updating 2 weeks since my stay from hell. It took over 7 days for a manager to finally call me back (I called the front desk everyday.) Apparently this guy only works very specific hours once a week because they said he was the only one who could help with a refund. The front desk gave me the managers wrong email on three separate occasions- not sure how this is not common knowledge among staff. Once the GM emailed me, I replied within 45 minutes (around 3:30pm for reference), then I waited for a reply back for 5 days… Bottom line is, I did get my refund (or at least they said they’re processing it), but I doubt they really checked for bed bugs especially if they can’t even respond to a simple email. I’d strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs- it’s not worth the two week headache, gaslighting from staff, or bugs.
