The hotel was amazing! The mattresses were so comfy along with the pillows. Wish I knew the brand for my own home! The shower was walk in and easily accessible, which was great for the group. The staff were amazing! Truly above and beyond. The whole team was personable and especially Miss Tee and Caleb, who we wish the best of luck in the upcoming semester!

The hotel is a clean and comfortable space with few frills—perfect for an overnight stop! Tanesha was so pleasant and helpful during breakfast, as was Mimi during check-in. Exceptional staff! Will return.

Where do I start! When I arrived @ the hotel, the front desk person wasn't even present, he had the sign saying be back in a few, but when I rang the bell he came. He seemed like I bothered him...because he was NOT friendly @ all!!! When I checked in it was Saturday 10/18/25 a little after 3pm. I am a Veteran of the United States Army, so I booked 2 rooms under the military government rate of $165.39 total for 1 night! I booked 2 rooms as I thought was the price of the 2nd room as well! But after the RUDE concierge checked me in...he never informed me that the price of both rooms were different! So, 1 room was booked under the military rate of $165.39...the other was mistakenly booked under the regular rate of $336.39!!!!!!!!! Now instead of the RUDE concierge to make me aware...he did not and continued to check me in! So I ended up calling corporate IHG and they were the ones to inform that there were 2 different charges! By this time I was livid! Because as a Veteran I look forward to utilizing my discounts!!! So once I was given this info from corporate they were understanding and did reach out to the hotel to try and speak with a manager to see if the rate could be changed! Unfortunately, I received an email from the general manager Sceola Wesley stating that being that they were sold out on rooms for the weekend that they COULD NOT honor my request to modify the other room to the cost of the military rate! I feel like the concierge should have informed me of this before completing my check in! And prior to all of this I came downstairs to also discuss the cleanliness of one of the rooms! The bedding sheets were yellowed and there were red stains on the other bed on the covers and red spackle or something on the walls and the floors were scratched! My overall stay was unpleasant, uncomfortable and just overall BAD from the price I paid to stay there for 1 night and the cleanliness and comfortability of the room! There were also police there early Sunday morning 10/19/25 for a domestic violence issue so all night there was banging which it must have been fighting then the police having to block off the elevator because of this was a bit alarming to me as well!! The police stated someone was ATTACKED!!!!! So I obviously will NOT being staying @ this AVID again!!!!!!!! And if you know what's good for you....you wouldn't either!!!

My mother in law and father in law recently went on a tour bus to Lancaster PA and stayed at the Avid. While there my father in law became ill and had to be transported to the local hospital. We live in TN and packed and headed that way as soon as we found out. We came to their hotel since that is where they had been staying and I have never been treated so well. We ended up staying 6 days and we finally were able to bring him back to TN but he was just too sick and passed away. The General Manager, Sceola Wesley and Yaritia Aponte went beyond to help us with our stay and our rate since it was a very unexpected trip. They were so kind to us at such a hard time. The motel itself was very neat and clean and the rooms were very nice as well as all the staff. Thanks for being there for a family at a very difficult time.
