Place is very old and NOT maintained well at all. Mold in shower,Rubber cove base molding hanging off wall. Formica peeled off headboard, bare wood. I was embarrassed when I got in room. If it wasn't 2 hr ride home we would have left.Im sorry im not type to write poor reviews, however Cove Haven is not as advertised

We just left Paradise Stream. Let me just say, we didn't experience the way the place was put out to be. Our room was dated and dirty! We stayed in the Diana Oasis, we had a pool and whirlpool tub. The pool area smelled so bad like mold and burnt wood you couldn't stand being in that area. The carpet was very dirty and dingy. The outside wall of the building was so rotten, when you showered the water ran out onto the side walk. The entertainment they mention was a DJ in the back corner of the "night club". The "lake" had absolutely no fish, the guy in the booth told us this. I will say the staff were friendly and that's about it. We honestly thought when booking this place we could hang out for the entire weekend and not leave. We found ourselves driving around trying to find things to do. I would never recommend this resort nor will I be booking here again.

The staff is super helpful and friendly. The food is fantastic. The room we were in could use a little maintenance but, was pleasant overall. The drawbacks for me were, no craft beers available at all, some local choices would have been nice. Secondly, we could NOT reach the spa! We wanted a couples massage and tried the hotel direct line and the local phone number, neither worked!!!

My husband and I paid for three days and got kicked out after the first night for playing our music too loud. The couple in the room next to us called the police and the police came and said just turn it down a little. We said ok. Next morning the owner issued us with a trespass and said we were not able to return because the neighbors left due to the disturbance. Mind you we paid $700 to be there and drove 5 hours. Went two years ago and didn't have this problem. My husband worked very hard to do something special for my birthday. We also did not get a refund for the two days missed.
Note: The room was awesome. We were having a great time until the incident. Security was very rude upon knocking on the door asking us what was going on. I informed him we were celebrating my birthday and he said well the neighbors are trying to sleep and your music is too loud. So we turned it down and the owner called the police anyway. Never again will I set foot in this establishment!

First of all, this place is a joke. It felt like the “ghetto of getaways.” From the moment we arrived, we noticed trash everywhere. Cigarette butts, bags, bottles—you name it. It’s clear they either don’t take pride in the property or simply don’t care.
We stayed in the Champagne Towers and the room was just okay, at best. The bigger issue was that nothing worked. The fridge didn’t get cold, light switches didn’t work, the tubs were chipped, and the list goes on. For the price we paid, it was shocking how run down everything was. And DO NOT use the fireplace. It will smoke the entire room out. I should have realized this sooner based on the piles of half-burnt logs scattered outside the doors. I counted at least five or six—clearly other guests had the same experience and had to throw them out before the room filled with smoke.
The first night we paid $100 for dinner, which was a huge mistake. We sat for 15 minutes before being acknowledged, and they weren’t even busy. Meanwhile, the staff in the back were laughing and carrying on. When our server finally came over, she forgot our drinks, forgot the bread, and the food took forever. By the time it arrived, we were ready to leave. We were also not allowed to take the food back to our room, and the explanations we were given made no sense. One staff member claimed it was because dinner was “all you can eat” (it’s not). Another said it was because there are no microwaves in the rooms and the food couldn’t be reheated properly (it was already cooked). Yet another told us it was because they offer a separate takeout option where you pay the same overpriced price but only get limited items. To make things worse, when it came time for dessert—which was supposedly included—our server disappeared and never even offered it to us. After such a miserable experience, we immediately went to the front desk, canceled the rest of our weekend dinner reservations, and requested refunds.
Then there’s the clubhouse. Nothing worked. The bowling lanes were down, the arcade games were overpriced and half of them were broken, and the pool tables didn’t even have billiard balls. There was literally nothing to do. It was nothing like what was advertised.
Overall, this place is extremely overpriced for what you get. Poor maintenance, poor service, and a completely misleading experience. We ended up leaving a day early because of how bad it was. We will not be back.
