I can't comment on the room because I never checked in. My husband and I chose not to stay there because of horrible stench in the lobby
In addition, the corridors were full of laundry and cleaning supplies. I know the carts have to go somewhere during cleaning the rooms, but you couldn't even walk down the hall. You would have had to step over laundry and trash. Lastly, the outside had trash around the 'flower beds ' and up against the hotel. As I read this over I sound quite uppity. I am not, I just expected more from the 186.00 price point. I expected management to care. I expected to feel safe, and I expected it to be clean. On a positive note, great location to IUP.

I'd like to first start off my review giving a personal thank you to the fourth floor housekeeper Orraint, and to front desk attendant Morgan! My stay was incredibly affordable, close to food, and close to my next business venture. I've been staying in different hotels across the state and states that border this one, and this had to be my favorite as well as the only one I felt inclined to write a review for!
The front desk attendant Morgan was incredible, she was very hospitable, knowledgeable about the area, and was eager to help! Orraint was my housekeeper. The room stayed clean, though he never bothered the space while I was there or rushed me, and when we did slip past each other in the hall, he'd make pleasant conversation and even offered me doughnuts upon realizing I hadn't eaten breakfast.
They made the stay amazing because without them, none of the good things about the hotel would be there. Thank you so much Morgan and Orraint, I hope to be back and see y'all again!

I asked to change my two night stay to one night. After explaining to the front desk my situation he had to talk to his manager. He was going to call me back. Two hours later still no call. When I got to the hotel to collect my belongings I asked about for an update the manager said they couldn’t because it was not before 11. However my call was before 11.
Lack of customer service. The manager was more about making money instead of accommodating customer’s request. The front desk could care less being there as well.
I stay at a lot of Holiday Inns. That was the worst. Never again.

Where do we start? I have nothing nice to say about this hotel. Nothing.
These are in no particular order. Most not discovered until it was very late and I was not interested in moving to another room that was just as messed up. Should have read the reviews as they were all pretty bad. Not one or two bad reviews… tons of them.
- The pictures on the IHG website are not from this hotel. They state so in their captions. They say new pics coming soon 02/23. This is 02/26, three years later and they have not updated their pictures. This is absolute false advertising as the pictures are not accurate.
- Heater was dirty. Grime stuck to exhaust vents and filters not cleaned.
- Blinds were broken. When moving them up or down, pieces of rust were falling into the window frame.
- Cold air blowing in around the window.
- Water stains on the wall that were rust colored.
- Dry wall cracking and coming apart.
- Barely can use the bathroom it is so small. When sitting on the toilet, the toilet paper holder is jammed up under your leg.
- Wall hooks for jackets coming off the wall. Two out of the three fell off when I went to pull clothing off them.
- Desk chair leans to the side and is broken.
- Stains in the shower. Cannot tell if they are rust or mold. Maybe both.
- Ceiling in bathroom crumbling.
- Hook on back of bathroom door pulling out of the wood.
- Bed was shot. Folded up around me when sitting or laying on it.
- Mattress pad and cover were covered in yellow and brown stains.
- Set up against a junkyard.
Here are the big ones…
- Box around the window was rotting and falling apart from water damage. To add to the fun, it was pulling out of the wall. Brought it to the managers attention and he blew it off.
- Headboard falling off the wall. All the anchors were pulled out of the wall. The bed was propping it up. It is bad enough that it moves and the night stands lean.
- No hot water. Tried to wash my hands in the evening and after ten minutes, no hot water. Just cool. Went to the front desk and manager made excuses and said I need to let it run. Went back to the room, let it run for ten more minutes, shower as well. No real change. Barely warm at all. Manager showed me water in pantry and it barely got hot. This is a food safety issue as this is where they clean the breakfast area. As of this morning, no hot water either. Water has now been running for 20 minutes.
Many of the reviews going back several months indicate hot water has been a long standing issue here.
I am a Diamond Elite traveler for IHG. This is absolutely the worst IHG property I have stayed in, and I average almost 100 nights per year for the past five years.
When I checked out, front desk clerk made aware, did not offer any resolution. Calls to IHG Corporate got nothing but lip service. They are aware of the problems as they have acknowledged past bad reviews but just apologize and move on. Management at the hotel does not offer any assistance.
