This was for a work trip, and corporate booked the property for us. As other reviewers have stated, the walls and doors are paper thin, the property is close to a train track, and appears to be a popular option for families with young children and sports teams. During our stay the hotel was full with what appeared to be a youth hockey team— it would have been nice if the parents had at least some consideration for other guests, as the children were running down the halls until midnight and then started up again about 5:30 AM. Thankfully, we had read the reviews prior to arrival and brought a white noise machine to mitigate some of the noise. This location is within minutes of all of the Hershey attractions, and also close to shopping and many restaurants. We found it very convenient to get to the venue for our event, but the area is not walkable— we had rented a car. Breakfast was adequate and the rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The water pressure in our first floor bathroom left a bit to be desired, and the showerhead was hanging out of the wall, but everything was serviceable. Overall a decent budget stay but I doubt that we would book this property again as our days are long for our work events, and adequate rest is needed.

Very nice hotel. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately, we were there for a hospital appointment and didn't get to experience all of the perks, but they looked well kept.

Stayed recently for a youth hockey tournament. While our team specifically booked “Top Floor” while booking we were all given rooms on the first floor. The first floor rooms are extremely close to the lobby and pool, making them very loud at times. Most of the staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Some were visibly annoyed by the amount of hockey teams saying with them that weekend, and with the guests tracking snow through the lobby. There seems to be some room renovations going on, our room didn’t have a smoke detector, just wires sticking out of the wall. I did report this and one was installed quickly. Another team members heating/ac unit wasn’t working and was told to use the thermostat on the wall, they couldn’t locate one and asked at the desk again how to find it. The front desk staff member went to her room looked for one and couldn't find one, looked at the unit and moved them to a different room because the unit wall plug was showing signs of malfunctioning (charring). The electric in our room was suspect, the bathroom light switch didn’t always turn on the light and the outlet made noises when plugging in a hairdryer. The room and bathroom doors on the first floor are terrible, they’re wood panel doors that are all showing signs of peeling and chipping. The bathroom door handle in our room must have been replaced at some point and the new one didn’t line up with the old one, so there is just a few extra holes drilled through the door. There is no exhaust fans in the bathrooms making them extremely humid for an extended period of time after showering. There’s a cute game room with a handful of arcade games, but the door to that room is incredibly dangerous and is going to injure someone. Instead of getting a door with a glass panel in it, someone cut a door and put a piece of glass tacked in. The weight of the glass makes the door slam and the glass shake badly. The continental breakfast was good when it was offered. Our last morning there the cook called out so all that was offered was cereal, yogurt and bread products. With the amount of hotels in the area this hotel really should step up their game. The price does not warrant looking past the issues mentioned above. Granted we booked through a tournament company, but after comparing prices on our own, this hotel isn’t cheap.

We stay in Holiday Inn Express often and this was one of the best! Breakfast had extra condiments and was well maintained. They even had a couple of gluten free products which we loved! The rooms are great too.
