This hotel was dirty. There were cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, mold in the corner of the tubs something all over the door of the bathroom. The mattresses box spring sounded like they were broken. Every time we moved the mattress made crazy noises and we’re not very big people. It was just a kind of a gross unkept hotel. Also, the elevator broke while we were here and there were gnats flying around the fruit at the breakfast.

I created a google account just so I could leave a review and warn others. That’s how bad this property is. On October 10, 2025, my family and I checked-in for a 3-night stay. My sons were participating in a local youth hockey tournament that was being held in the area. The tournament was “stay to play” and required us to stay either here or at another “authorized” property of the tournament company’s choosing. After checking in and entering our room, we encountered a disgusting environment. The lock on our bathroom door was broken (if you shut the door all the way, it would lock you out), the carpets were dirty, and the air conditioning emitted a damp/moldy smell. Also, the room’s furniture was visibly worn out. Several hard surfaces (i.e. around the coffee maker) were crusty as well. Judging by other reviews, this seems to be common. Clearly, IHG refuses to address the issues. Things got even worse once inside the bathroom. I found pubic hair on the floor and area surrounding the toilet. The sink and bathtub didn’t drain properly. Ceiling towels in the bathroom sagged too. My room was equipped with a refrigerator. To be blunt, it stunk like old food. Furthermore, I was able to see mold on the baseboards nearby. On October 12, 2025, there was apparently some sort of “incident” that prompted the hotel’s manager (Jaime Schloupt) to call the Lower Paxton Police Department and demand that our entire organization leave. To this day, I’m not exactly sure what the “incident” even was. However, this led to approximately 30-40 families (some with small children) being arbitrarily being ejected at approximately 9:00pm that night. I was one of those families. To put a cherry on top of it, Jaime Schloupt accused me of causing problems and being inappropriate with her staff. I’m genuinely confused by this. I keep to myself. During our entire stay, I had no encounters of any kind with Holiday Inn employees (aside from the check-in process). DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! IF YOUR TEAM HAS A STAY TO PLAY TOURNAMENT IN THE AREA, PAY THE FEE AND PICK YOUR OWN HOTEL.

This place should be donated to the local fire department to set a blaze for training. Nothing and I mean nothing was acceptable at this location. If you like mold, bugs, filth upon filth, expired inspections, exposed wiring, blocked fire exits, cold unidentifiable breakfast, this is your spot. Oh and did I mention the rude staff that could not be bothered with the complaints of toe nails found. This place is the filthiest dump I’ve ever stayed in by leaps and bounds. If you are attracted to the price I assure you that your medical bills will make up for the difference that you would save. To many options in this area to risk staying here.
