This hotel could've gotten 4 stars if not for a few areas that can be easily improved. I travel for business and stay im hotels around 180 nights a year,so I've seen good and bad. This place has potential, but needs work. Its clean, but the construction is insanely loud in the rooms. We stayed in a corner room on the 2nd floor and I have video of things physically shaking in the bathroom from the loud vibrations coming from directly above us(i believe they were using a sawzall or multi tool on studs). It was so loud our toddler was screaming for an hour straight and we couldn't even hear eachother speak. Texted the front desk and got the response that it'll be over by 6pm. Moving our room to another area of the hotel would've been a much better solution. The other area the hotel lacks in is the shower situation. The water is ice cold for 10 minutes, then gets gradually warmer until it finally gets hot. Then you get in and it fluctuates all over the place, from scalding you to freezing you. The breakfast was good, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. They can work on their customer service, hot water issues, and plan the bookings to keep customers at least slightly away from the insanely loud construction and this place can be a great place to stay. Also, the tvs were slow and glitchy cable. For now,ill be staying elsewhere when in the area. Might try again after renovations are finished.

Cannot beat the value pricing on off season in February!!! First time stay here and what a total WIN!! An absolutely exceptional Brand experience! Seriously, over the course of the past five years our experiences at Hampton Inns have been so deficient that we gave up on The Brand because if all we are doing is sleeping there, why pay next tier pricing for micro fiber sheets and bad bath grout (my two pet peeves) ~and outdated amenities. We use HI for drive through-stays, so there you are at mid evening with no choice but to stay because you are too tired to find another place. This is because so many of these Hilton properties are franchise owned, and some owners should not be in the hospitality business, that is for sure! Ok! So this place is a Large Footprint HI! I’m sure because of full on summer season with Hershey in proximity! The pool is great, the exercise room small but adequate! The breakfast offering though standard fare was EXCEPTIONAL in eggs and sausage perfectly cooked and everything presented with care and attention! The Staff were all exceptional in friendliness and helpfulness! While I thought the property looked exceedingly well kept for its age, Fatima, a wonderful hospitality front end associate said that new owners are commencing a renovation! It was quiet and restful for us even on the first floor ~of course, our visit was during off season! This is now a starred property for us and we will gladly stay here when coming through to visit Family in South Carolina! Thank you for this great stay over experience!!!

This is probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a very long time. The rooms are small for a double queen. You are on top of each other in them if you have more than two people in the room. The bathroom was small and had no fan so the condensation just dripped everywhere. There was no conditioner. No body wash. No body soap. The toilet clogged the first time we used it. The front desk had no bottled water for diamond members, only vending machines that did not accept cash so you had to pay extra for every item due to it being a credit card. The pool had no towels and when I called to get some more the girl at the front desk said she couldn't leave so I had to go get them, dripping wet. The breakfast area was hard to navigate since it was one way in, one way out and the food was below subpar. The staff was nice and rhe room, other than the bathroom, was clean but that was about it. I only stay at Hilton and affiliated hotels and this hotel is so far below Hilton standards. The one star is only for the staff.

We have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times on trips to NH; until this past week the last time was 2 years ago. The hotel is very convenient to the interstate, and the breakfast bar offering is up to par with other Hamptons. However, the hotel is in serious need of a remodel. The rooms just look tired. The TV at first showed nothing until I tightened a loose cable. When it finally showed a station it took 5 or 6 seconds for each channel change and with the volume at full 100 the sound was no more than a whisper, so no TV viewing. The hotel’s only elevator is slow. In the dining area a TV was annoyingly blaring some sitcom from 20 years ago making having a conversation difficult; not what you want listen to when you are having breakfast. Until the hotel is brought up to current standards for modern accommodations we will no longer use Grantville.
