We live less than 10 minutes from this hotel. My girls wanted to go swimming so we stayed one night so that we could use their indoor pool and hot tub. The girls enjoyed the pool all evening. In the morning the girls wanted to swim before we checked out. The pool opened at 8am, we got to the pool around 8:10am. When we entered the pool room, the General Manager told us they were shocking the pool and it would be hours before we could use it. We told her we were locals and stayed the night only to use the pool and would be checked out before we could use the pool again (check out is 11). She said sorry but it would take hours before the pool was open. The girls were devasted. When we got back to the room the girls were crying. We changed out of our swimsuits, packed up, watched Bluey and walked down to the front desk a little after 10. My husband spoke to the General Manager and again explained to her we were only there to use the pool and asked for a full refund. Not only did she refuse but said the pool was only closed a few minutes and that it was now open. She devasted my girls, refused to let them use the pool, and lied to us. We'll never stay here again! We'll go a different local hotel to take the girls swimming. The General Manager is a cruel, heartless woman.

This is gonna be long so let me start by saying the hotel in itself was great. Check in was simple and the gal at the desk was kind and welcoming. And breakfast was typical but decent (the kids enjoyed making their own). Here’s the scoop. The room was clean for the most part. I stayed in room 421 the Queen bed in the separate room from the rest of the room. I chose this room because it was a sleepover for my daughter’s birthday because she wanted to stay at a hotel with a pool and hot tub. My complaints are this- the pull out sofa bed I noticed in the morning while stripping the sheets the mattress had a huge stain I’m assuming it was a urine stain as it was big, yellow and in the middle of the bed. Secondly my husband took my 8 year old daughter and her friend down to the pool and hot tub, I texted him 30 min later to ask if he wanted me to come watch over the girls and he told me there were a bunch of people there at that time so he’d stay with them instead. He text me 10 minutes later telling me it had “turned into a club down here” because a large group of others staying in the hotel showed up-with a large speaker blasting “TRAP MUSIC”. When my 8 year old and her friend came back they told me “they were playing music with bad words, the ‘B’ word, ‘F’ word and ‘D’ word” (you work it out). I know this isn’t the hotels fault entirely but I’m pretty upset that what was supposed to be a fun time for my daughter and her friend turned out to NOT be pleasant. Why on earth would ANY normal thinking person or persons think it’s okay to bring a speaker first of all into a PUBLIC pool area of a hotel and blast rap music singing about sex and how big the ‘D’ was. I’m pretty appalled. I’ve added a picture of the mattress for confirmation of the bed. If I’d noticed this before we went to bed I would’ve requested a different mattress or room.
