- RDRebecca DillNov 11, 20255.0Clean! Clean! Clean! You have no idea how much I appreciate having a clean hotel while I’m traveling. Not only is this hotel clean, the decor is fantastic and the staff is welcoming and pleasant. We arrived super late and the young lady who checked me in was an absolute doll. Best personality - give her a raise! Lol I walked past the fireplace and you can see into the breakfast area and the vibe was so cool. You really would think you were hanging out in some swanky lounge. Very nice! The rooms are spacious - again, very clean! The real winner in the room is the bed. I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Expresses but let me tell you…. If I could’ve hauled that mattress out and strapped it to the top of my tiny little Versa rental car I would have! 🤣 Makes me want to go home and throw mine into a firepit. Lots and lots of eating places in the area. Texas Roadhouse in the same parking lot. Very walkable area with lots of shopping. Checkout was a breeze and the lady who helped me was new (from Oklahoma) and she was a total sweetheart. Let me tell you - who you have working a front desk matters. I don’t care how nice of a hotel it is, if your staff is rude then that whole experience goes down the drain. The staff here is wonderful. As a matter of fact, give them ALL a raise! lol
- SMShane McDonaldNov 4, 20254.0We had a really enjoyable stay here. Scranton is a lovely area and the hotel was really nice for us to stay in. Parking was free and plentiful. The room was decent and we had good sleeps here. We stayed in all IHG / Holiday Inn Express Hotels on this trip to NY and PA and the weather in July was very nice. The breakfast was very nice with everything we needed for a great start to the day. The TV in the hotel dining area was very nice also as a feature. The staff were excellent and we would certainly return.

We truly enjoy the location as it is close to whatever you may need. The rooms are clean and not too hard on the pocket. They offer discounts to the restaurants that are in the same lot as the hotel so we just walked over for dinner which made our time on the road with 3 kids so much easier. We had a great conversation with the sales manager Elaine at breakfast one morning. She is such a wonderful person along with all the other staff members we have met. We will be back many more times

Really nice outdoor area with two fire pits, cornhole & giant connect four, grills, picnic tables, etc. One of my favorite little details in the rooms is the illuminated light switches and built-in night light in the bathroom — designed by someone who’s stayed in a hotel with kids! Speaking of kids, they have several pack’n’plays and cots available. The 24hr coffee in the dining room is also nice to have.
