I've never stayed at this hotel, I'm sure I may in the future. This review is because they weren't willing to cancel a reservation in the middle of an ice storm where it wouldn't have been safe to make it to the location. When companies are silly towards customer service, they get silly reviews which hold much more value than just canceling the reservation.

Our car broke down and the staff was kind enough to let my wife and kids hang out in the warm lobby while the car was being fixed. They also gave them some snacks and a drink while they waited. We really appreciated it!

Interesting. This was my first time visiting a Tru by Hilton. The rooms are small and very light on amenities. No coffee maker, no microwave, just a tiny refrigerator, two beds, and a TV. They seem to focus on making the lobby a social gathering spot. Rooms are very clean though and the bed is extremely comfortable!
The lobby was quite nice. Foosball tables, lots of board games, plenty of places to sit, visit, and work. They have coffee, tea, and hot water on tap 24-7, and their pancake and egg breakfast bar is really awesome. The microwave is located in the lobby too.
Walls and floors are a bit on the thin side. I could hear people walking around above me all night long, and walking past other rooms I could clearly hear televisions and conversations.
Overall, I'd describe the rooms as very 'minimalist'. If you're wanting a place to relax and get away, this may not be for you. If you're an active person just looking for a place to sleep, grab a decent breakfast, and stow your stuff while you're out all day, this place is great. If you're into socializing with other guests, this place is also great.

Disappointed that we were told breakfast was until 10 and in fact it ended at 9. As we arrived they were already putting food away , literally grabbing it from in front of us. Wanted to extend stay and told by evening staff member that we should do it in the morning ( I guess didn’t want to miss what he was vs watching on TV). Morning staff said no rooms available but came back 20 minutes later and said there were several to choose from.
Update :This was the response:

Thank you for leaving your feedback. I just wanted to clarify a few things, since I (the GM) was standing right there when you attempted to extend. Jill actually reassigned an arriving guest to a different room specifically so you could extend. After discussing it with your group, you returned and decided not to extend after all.
And while it’s true our weekday breakfast ends at 9:00, we did keep it open longer for you and your guest. Absolutely nothing was taken away from you and if had asked, our breakfast staff would have done anything for you as that is how we roll as you can see that Jill went above and beyond as well. Sorry that your perception did not match the effort on our side.
In response. Let me be clear. 1-Your evening person was watching TV when we arrived and had zero interest in assisting us. 2-We had no idea you even worked there based on the way you looked. 3-you reassigned a room after telling us there was nothing available and saw we were leaving 4-your evening staff was clear that breakfast ended at 10 and food was being put away even before 9 ( starting with bread ) 5-As far as my perception, rest assured it’s perfect. As a Doctor it better be because lives depend on it 6- Even if I was wrong on all accounts , which I’m not, hospitality 101 teaches customer service, especially when responding to negative reviews. Obviously we will never return nor will we encourage anyone else to.

Stayed over for a couple of nights while visiting family. While it was a bit far from Lancaster it was still a nice hotel to stay at.
I thought this was a brand new hotel but turned out they been open for 5-6 years. Very well mantained!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Will stay again.
