  When I checked in late on March 30th 2026 the young man and woman working the counter were amazing! Polite, quick, and so welcoming. My stay was comfortable besides the dangling spiders over my head in the bathroom. (Everywhere has spiders so not the cleaners fault) I walked down stairs and there were probably 3 or 4 women standing at the counter, and when I walked off the elevator their faces dropped. As if they had never seen a Somalian American brown woman before. How are you working the front desk and can’t speak? That gets 1 star in my book come on now this is NOT back in the day we share spaces now. I looked at my daughter and laughed and swung my hair that is all mines, and got what I needed from my car and went right back to my room that I paid for. Close your mouth ladies. You can always work on yourself weight, attitude, appearance, and demeanor so you don’t have to hate on the next woman. 🙌🏾♥️ Bless y’all hearts. I wonder does Holiday Inn Express tolerate that kind of behavior? I will surely be letting them know. 5 stars for the two people on duty at check in, and my actual stay.

  Close to get to Pitt-Bradford. Very nice breakfast spread.

  I really appreciate the lady from housekeeping and the lady at the front desk who gave good advice about the best route for traveling to Pittsburgh in the snow. They were knowledgeable about the area and generous about giving advice. Also, the place was clean; breakfast was good. Good location, easy to get to Pitt-Bradford campus, convenient to restaurants and a supermarket

  We had high hopes for our stay this past holiday. First time, we stayed during an emergency, and the staff was very kind. While in the process of booking this time the front desked seemed very helpful. For this visit, we called ahead multiple times to make sure our dog was allowed to stay despite not being a service animal. Front desk said yes but booking websites (including their own) didn't give us the option. They assured us we would be put in the proper room. On our first day the keys did not work and we had to wait for staff to open our room everytime. The shower curtain had yellow stains and we needed to replace it ourselves. The next day staff expressed surprise that our dog was not a service animal and added an extra charge we thought was already included into the price. When we arrived back later that day, no one cleaned our room. When we expressed our disappointment all they could offer was points as if this was a game. Late shift front desk did eventually clean our room. I was also told upper management is trying to work out some of the issues but I'm not sure I will be coming back to see if they have. (Bonus complaint: there was a train engine stopped on the railway right outside our first floor window that noisily ran and puffed all night long) .
