I am genuinely baffled by the 3-star rating because our stay felt like discovering a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, everything about this place invited us to exhale and slip effortlessly into vacation mode.
Whether you’re skiing at JFBB, planning a summer lake escape, or simply craving a peaceful reset, the location couldn’t be better. And finding a property this comfortable that is truly pet-friendly — not just tolerant, but genuinely welcoming — is something special.
But what elevated this stay from good to unforgettable was the staff. Exceptional hardly does them justice. They were warm, attentive, and deeply committed to guest experience. When an unruly dog caused a disturbance, the team responded immediately with professionalism and care — repeatedly apologizing and actively trying to reach the owners. It was clear they take pride in protecting the calm, relaxing atmosphere guests come for.
And then… the amenities.
The pool and sauna feel more boutique retreat than hotel perk. Let me emphasize something seasoned travelers will appreciate — the indoor pool is actually warm. Not “heated” in theory, but truly comfortable (around 80°), making it absolute bliss after a cold day outside.
One of the biggest surprises of the trip was a beautiful family-friendly hike less than two miles from the hotel. Close enough to be effortless, yet scenic enough to feel like you’ve stepped into a nature magazine — peaceful trails, fresh mountain air, and just the right balance of adventure without being strenuous. It quickly became one of our favorite memories from the trip and added an unexpected layer of magic to the entire stay.
And breakfast — do not sleep on it.
This is not your standard hotel spread. The variety alone impresses, but watching the fresh pancakes being made was oddly mesmerizing, and the parfait bar? Worth waking up early for. Insider tip: layer it — every bite gets better.
What’s hardest to capture is the feeling this place leaves you with. It’s clean, inviting, relaxed, and thoughtfully managed — the kind of stay where nothing goes wrong because people are quietly making sure everything goes right.
Before we even checked out, we were already talking about when we could return.
Some hotels are convenient.
Some are comfortable.
The rare ones become part of your favorite family memories.
This is one of them — and we will absolutely be back.

Great staff nice rooms for price easy to get to
We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Hotel. The food was great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The indoor pool was so quiet and calming, perfect for relaxing. My family and I had such a great time and would recommend this hotel to others!
I have to say.. I really needed a few days of vacation, and I absolutely loved my stay at the Best Western Inn at Blakeslee‑Pocono. The place was clean, quiet, and genuinely relaxing. The indoor swimming pool was incredibly calming, and breakfast wasn’t too bad either. It’s also pet‑friendly, which is a huge plus for anyone traveling with their furry companions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole stay feel even more comfortable. The location is convenient, especially if you’re exploring the Poconos or just looking for a peaceful getaway.
This hotel was pretty nice. Unfortunately I have to give it a 1 star due to the issues we encountered. First, the TV wasn't connected to the internet and we couldn't watch any streaming services. Second, the toilet made weird noises and the next morning was clogged. Third, our second night the carbon monoxide detectors of ALL the rooms went off blaring at 4 AM! Nothing was done by staff, no apology, nothing to make up for it. It gave us panic attacks. It went on for several minutes before stopping and we were so exhausted we went back to sleep. The next morning, I slept in due to the rude awakening we had, assuming they would be lenient with check out considering the issue. At 12:30, we got a knock on the door letting us know if we weren't checked out within 5 minutes they would charge us for a half day. Cue running downstairs to hand over our cards. I can't believe the way that was handled.
Smaller things were the beds are full size not queen so we were a little squished. Breakfast the first day was great (smoked maple sausage) but Saturday they served bacon dripping in oil and fat. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful.
