- CWCyn WDec 8, 20253.0As a loyal IHG member and been traveling for 15+ years, my stay at Candlewood Suites Bensalem was very disappointing and unacceptable. Despite explicitly requesting a room away from the elevator due to needing a quiet space, we were assigned the room right next to it. This assignment led to constant elevator noise. Furthermore, in general it’s quite clean but we found a long curly hair on one of the unused towel, which none of my family members have long hair. Finally, after an exhausting late arrival night, I requested a late check-out around 10:50 am and only to be informed by the desk staff that the hotel does not offer late check-outs at all, a policy that was not noted anywhere in advance; we have to rush out in 30 minutes. I have stayed at other Candlewood Suites properties before but have never encountered this; this complete lack of service is unheard of for an IHG property. This hotel failed on service, comfort, and IHG member recognition. Definitely try to avoid room assignments near the elevator if you are sensitive sleeper like me.
