  Don’t Let the Google Rating Fool You — This Place is a Gem. If you’re passing through the Portland area and need a comfortable, quiet, well-run hotel for your family, this is it. From the moment we checked in, Carlos at the front desk set the tone for our entire stay. He gave us his full, undivided attention — recommendations, local tips, genuine conversation — and then did the exact same thing for the person behind us. That kind of consistent, unhurried hospitality is rare and worth noting. As IHG Rewards members, the free WiFi and complimentary late checkout were genuinely valuable perks for our family trip. That extra time in the morning was exactly what we needed to rest, regroup, and prepare for the next leg of our journey. It felt like the hotel was working WITH us, not just processing us through. The rooms are newly remodeled, clean, comfortable, and — this was a surprise — incredibly quiet. We’d noticed it was near a small airport. We didn’t hear a thing. Best night’s sleep of our trip. Amenities cover everything you need: good complimentary hot breakfast, on-site laundry, lobby market for snacks, Dove products in the room, and the pool area was also updated. The beds and pillows are also genuinely comfortable. The surrounding Troutdale area is a hidden dining gem. Italian, Lebanese, French patisserie, steakhouse — plus tons of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. More authentic food variety than we expected for a smaller area. One thoughtful tip for future guests: there’s no ATM on site but one is walkable nearby. No cash for housekeeping? Ask the front desk — they helped us purchase a lobby market credit to leave for our housekeeper instead. I appreciated that kind of creative, caring problem-solving, because I felt bad not having cash. It also speaks to the whole culture of this staff. Google Maps rates this a 2-star. It absolutely performs like a 3. Don’t let the rating stop you. The staff, the comfort, the quiet, and the value make this one of the best stays of our entire family road trip. We’ll be back. 💚

  Very clean. Attentive staff. Nice pool. It also smelled nice, which a lot of hotels have a funky smell but this one did not! Great location, near lots of restaurants and the outlet mall. About 15-20 mins from the Gorge/hiking! Will definitely be back!

  I really appreciated the blackout curtain actually blocked out light. A lot of hotels, the curtains don’t really do much. This one was excellent! Nice quiet clean hotel

  Front desk, was great. This hotel is sorta hard to find and if you miss it you have a long way around the block.

  This was a great hotel. Rooms smelled very good. Pool and hot tub was great. Showers were very hot. And the free breakfast the next morning was amazing. So many options of food and all you can eat breakfast from 7am - 10am and free coffee. Only issue was the elevators were down for maintenance so had to take stairs but was only 1 floor up.
