    This hotel has really stepped up it's game. Staff was excellent. Rooms were great. Couch was a little old and uncomfortable but otherwise great room. Breakfast was the typical Hampton breakfast, but it was well stocked with plenty of choices available.

    My family had a very extended stay here. Though it was a tough situation, the staff made us feel welcomed and were always willing to help and be accommodating. The staff was friendly and always greeted us with a smile. We had the most interactions with Maria from the breakfast and Zurich at the front desk. They were both awesome! The facilities were always kept clean and you could see employees cleaning all areas throughout the day. One area that probably needed more attention though, was the pool itself. It often seemed a bit dirty with stuff floating around. Aside from that, having an indoor heated pool and hot tub in winter time was amazing. A good way to keep a small child entertained. The location is good and is just a short drive from all areas of Salem, access to I-5, restaurants, and grocery stores. Overall, we enjoyed our extended stay. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

    I misplaced a car key and called many places I had recently visited, including an overnight stay on a Saturday night at the Hampton Inn in Salem, OR. The staff person I reported to (unknown name, unfortunately) was polite and patient taking my information. I was so surprised and relieved to receive a call the following Wednesday with the unlikely news that my key had been found in the guest room I had occupied. Jenny at the front desk kindly mailed it to me immediately. I'm so grateful to her and to whoever found and turned in my key!

    Typical Hampton look and feel the minute you enter the lobby. Friendly staff as usual and place feels clean. Breakfast included starts 6am to 10am. Wifi speed is acceptable with no lagging issue streaming youtube videos. Plenty of parking too. Short drive to town for food or groceries. The negatives... pillows are small, outdated and flat-out. No extra pillows in the room. We can hear road noise at night and daytime but still bearable. Railroad train horn in the morning.
