The reviews I have read do not line up with the reality. I thought I was getting a river view room, instead they gave me a room with a view of the roof of ugly white and black AC equipment, the highway. I asked to be moved, the up charged me 24. The lady checking us in was very sick, coughing. I stayed there to go to a medical appointment at OHSU and I think she should have at least be wearing a mask and not be exposing us to illness. The heater was so loud that you could not hear the TV. We had to sleep with it off, it sounded like a jet engine going off and on, there is only one thin comforter, so if it's cold this makes it hard to sleep with it off. The bed is hard with a thin comforter over top, too hard, little give. No fan in bathroom. 2 very tiny bars of soap for 2 people. Took water 3-4 minutes of running to warm up, very odd. Not a real restaurant, no room service. The room was quiet if you turned ac or heater off and left it off. The sheets are thin, see through, scratchy. Bathroom is cold, no heat goes in there. Dust in bathroom under vanity and under sink where towels are. Towels were nice, smelled good, clean. We upgraded, but still could not see the river. The room is small. The website showed large rooms with fireplaces, couches, river views, not what we got and I don't think it was busy. No valet parking as advertised. They charge 29 a day for parking and the lady says when asked, it's 2 rows up, making no sense, she refused to explain where the parking was. She was not helpful about anything, said she didn't know the area. When we got there to check in no one was there and we waited 10 minutes for her to show up. The reviews I read said it was wonderful. This is just not true. No places to eat close by. I have to go there every month to the eye institute and I will be trying somewhere else. I paid 208. for the night, over priced for what it is.

Stayed here for a long weekend to use as a base for hiking in the gorge, a trip to the coast, and dining in Portland. We had a nice suite with a ton of space, it was however lacking things like towel racks/hooks in the bathroom. There was also a closet with nothing in it. No shelves or hooks or hangers, just empty wasted space. Bed was comfortable and we slept great. Location was central enough for our adventures while being in a nice area. Parking is expensive at $29/night but that seems to be the going rate these days unfortunately. All staff interactions were positive. No major issues and would stay here again if in the area.
