One of the worst 4 star hilton hotels so far I have been to. Downtown Portland seems great spot but is just homeless zone with really costly parking. We were charged 55/night for valet. The room also didn’t add up to price! No mini fridge! Dirty carpet, dirty floor and a bathroom that leaked water from the shower due to improper sealing on the bath door! Never ever staying here. They didn’t clean the rooms properly as per a 4 star, there was no shower gel present! I have stayed in better 3 stars! Really shocked how bad a 4 star hilton could be!

Clean place, in a greet area to walk around. Staff was pleasant to engage with. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Gym was pretty tight fit but functional.

Nice hotel. Trendy and stylish with clean rooms. But a frustratingly inconvenient level of service. The restaurant/bar staff in the evening is friendly and helpful, good finger food and local drinks. But the breakfast staff is a complete mess. I was completely ignored while waiting for a table. They wouldn’t even get me a water, made me go fill it myself. Everyone is just plain rude! Just a very bad energy first thing in the morning. Plus the Valet is a nightmare. This is their only option for parking. It’s overpriced, and they only had one driver in the morning so it took over 30 minutes to get my car when the ticket says “let us know 10-15 minutes before you need to leave.” Again, not a great way to start your day. I know businesses are cutting costs on labor right now, but my goodness if they could just get these things dialed in, it would be a great place to stay!

I had a great stay at the Hilton Canopy Portland Pearl District.
Check-in:
Super easy check-in process. The front desk person was incredibly friendly and full of helpful information. She was clearly busy but kept her cool and stayed completely professional.
Room:
The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was great, though the sheets seemed a little small for the mattress and kept coming untucked — still very comfy overall. I also loved the chair by the window; it was a perfect spot to sit and watch the city.
Overall hotel:
Clean, modern, and had a really nice vibe throughout. There was filtered water, ice machine and a microwave on each floor.
Valet parking:
It’s $55 a night, but honestly worth it given all the reviews about break-ins in nearby lots and garages. The valet system worked smoothly — you just text ahead and they have your car ready.
Check-out:
Make sure to get a printed receipt. My invoice had multiple errors, and it would’ve been a headache if I’d already left before catching them.
Restaurant:
I’ll leave a separate review for the on-site restaurant — that experience wasn’t great.
Overall, a solid stay in a great location.

Stayed here for the weekend and had a decent experience. Check-in was easy, and the lady who helped us was very friendly. Our room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was ok. The water refill station and microwave on our floor (9) were nice perks. The location was great with lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
A couple of downsides—there’s no self-parking, only valet, which I’m not a fan of because I prefer to park my car myself. Also, there was an issue with our credits at checkout that took some time to resolve - don’t know how it’ll show up once it posts on my partners credit card.
Overall, good stay despite the parking and billing issues. I’d recommend it.
