This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I've stayed at and I've stayed in dozens. They have a bar and restaurant on-site though I can't tell you the hours they are open. The rooms are nice, clean, and we'll maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. If there is a downside it is not really walking distance from stores and restaurants. There are plenty of both in Lebanon but it is about a mile or so to get to them. Wasn't a problem for me but if you are hoping it's in the middle of things it's not. What it is, is a very nice quiet clean hotel on the edge of town.

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous garden and very nice restaurant for breakfast, and maybe dinner (only open 5 days a week). I can’t stay here any more though because they assess a pet fine, the basic premise of which I don’t understand. It’s also a daily penalty, which makes no sense, and they’ll put it on without consulting with you, even if you’re a frequent guest. But if you’re traveling without a pet, it’s the only nice hotel in town, and it’s very nice.

Driving down the interstate I decided to stop, and this hotel was recommended by Google. There were free cookies at checkin. Dana at check in was lovely and gave me great recommendations for nearby activities and explained how the hotel was built to accommodate the nearby medical facilities and schools and also hosts sports teams that come to town. She gave me a coupon to the on site restaurant that was absolutely amazing. I got the king suite which is the top room listed on the website. It was spacious and had a fireplace and nice view of the garden. The Japanese garden is a short ten minute walk with a koi pond and small waterfalls. The pool was chilly but it was late November so it is understandable. The hot tub was nice and no one else was using it. After dinner and a quick swim I got to enjoy the shower that head 5 different shower heads, which I imagine is exclusive to the higher end rooms. Breakfast is served down in the restaurant and has the typical items you'd expect from a hot breakfast. When I went to check out I asked if they had any extra cookies and the lady at checkout was not as kind as the day before and explained that they were only available after 3:00 for check in. She asked for the room number to provide my receipt but the interaction felt cold and impersonal compared to the previous night which is why I reduced my rating from 5 stars down to 4. If you are going to be a premier hotel, the entire stay needs to feel welcoming all the way to checkout, not just when you arrive. I do plan to stay here again within a few months as I still had an enjoyable experience.
