  I went back and forth for the last few weeks on writing this review. I'm not a fan of focusing on negative reviews, but three weeks later, I'm still thinking about this situation. I would not recommend this location for solo female travelers, or any women/girls. I stayed there a few weeks ago for one night, before transferring to the Best Western (where I've stayed multiple times and is excellent). When I was leaving, there were three male employees standing in the hall outside my hotel room. They appeared to be talking to the female housekeeper. When I walked out, I kept to myself and didn't engage as I was focused on getting down to load my car, and they were mid-conversation. As I turned to walk down the hall, one of the male employers made an uncomfortable/inappropriate comment to me, and then they stopped their conversation to stare me down as I walked all the way down the hall. It was so uncomfortable I stopped at the end of the hall and asked why they were staring at me, and they just continued until I went into the stairwell. I was walking into the stairwell to walk down and load my car, and literally ran as fast as I could through the stairwell with my heart pounding. The vibes were so uncomfortable and intimidating, it felt as though they were going to follow me into the stairwell. I sat in my car for a few minutes too fearful to go back up and get the rest of my stuff. When I went back up, I bolted up the stairs as fast as possible. They were still there, but left me alone that time, I expect because I called them out right before existing the hallway the first time. To have three male employees act like that to a solo female traveler simply existing and keeping to themselves, was the most uncomfortable experience I have had at a hotel, even as a frequent traveler (I've always had excellent hotel experiences). While I don't like leaving negative reviews, I couldn't stop thinking about the safety of women travelers who might consider using this hotel, and couldn't live with myself if something happened to someone that might be more passive, if I didn't say something. If you use this hotel, just keep alert and be careful walking around, especially at night. Because I always try to find a positive in every situation, I will note the view on one side of the hotel is beautiful. For me, a view isn't worth a potential safety risk, but I wanted to note it for the record.

  I stayed here last year in winter. The pool was freezing and you could hear noise through the walls all night.

  I am even ashamed to call them a Member of the Holiday inn family, firstly When I checked in the lady at the counter Abby was pretty rude she barely showed any interest in things, I inquired about Pool and hot tub and she said they aren't working, Later when I went to my room the chair wasn't working either I had requested that I be given a chair from some other unoccupied room to which Abby had a rough response she was quick to tell me that I am yelling at her when I had just requested this politely. I also requested their GM Britney to call me its been a week but she still has not called me this clearly shows their intent and how well they care for their client's or any follow up requests. I would avoid this not working , rude staff and do not care about you attitude hotel at all cost! Look for ither friendlier places in Hood River!!!!

  Stayed here in association with the wedding weekend. The staff were friendly, was easy to check in, and the rooms were cozy. They’ve thought of everything, including fridges, hair, dryers hangers, tea, coffees… Etc. For the price point, this place is a great option , with quick and easy access to the downtown area.

  I was researching for a month, on the best quality stay, and budget friendly. This Holiday Inn checked off a lot of boxes for me. I forgot that I booked with a 3rd party site, canceled that booking to find a better price through their website instead. I highly recommend Savannah!! I called because I blanked. I thought we canceled this reservation when we didn't need it anymore. I forgot about this booking through their site. I called, panicked. She was friendly, and very quick to cancel my booking and understanding my own confusion. She saved our entire weekend! Thank you again Savannah, that was the best customer we ever had.
