Fantastic stay! The customer service was top notch. The rooms were clean, with a great view of the river. We saw sea lions from our room! Breakfast was good — there was an omelette bar and biscuits and gravy, what more could we ask for?

The hotel from the outside looks dated. Inside the lobby and the room was updated, not extravagant but decent. The bathroom could use a little updating and cleaning but wasn't disgusting. The balcony was small and was blocked mostly by trees/brush with a small house in front of the hotel. It was close to the bridge but far enough away that we didn't hear any traffic noise. We only stayed overnight so it served our purpose. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was the highlight with good coffee and made to order omelettes! All the staff was attentive and friendly. Parking was ok while we were there but could see it being tight if they were full.

Our pet-allowed room first off wasn't clean despite having "just been cleaned" - but the real issue was the room (located at the end of the building) dramatically sloped downward on one half which made sleeping so uncomfortable (sinking foundation??). One bed was horrible, literally sunken in the middle of the mattress - add in the room slope and it was awfully disorienting. Then the bathroom toilet was so short, like ridiculously so. You had to squat down just to use the restroom... sure I'm 5'9 but still was just another thing that was very uncomfortable. The cost was much higher than other local hotels, so these issues were that much more disappointing. The beautiful view shown in pictures at booking is apparently nowhere in sight, walked our dog around the whole property and was just all overgrown, with an outdoor space all locked up, and ZERO view! They tout the free breakfast - the made to order omelets were indeed good - but all the other breakfast food choices were out, or offered only in minimal amounts. It was disappointing that you couldn't even make a piece of toast, or the biscuits and gravy special as the amount offered was so minimal as compared to the number of guests... kind is felt like a tease to get some to stay with them but then not offer nearly enough to feed all the guests. Just such a giant disappointment as we had upgraded our hotel choice in the interest of getting more, but in fact was so much less all in all. Will never stay again, nor recommend.

Our recent stay at the Best Western Pier Point was wonderful, and the main reason we'll be coming back is Jennifer at the front desk. From the moment we checked in, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, and it made a huge difference in our overall experience. It's not often that you come across someone who truly makes you feel at home while traveling, but Jennifer did exactly that. Her professionalism combined with her warm personality is exactly the type of service that keeps guests returning. Because of her outstanding customer service, we will definitely be choosing this hotel again. Thank you, Jennifer, for making our trip such a positive experience!
