In the middle hubub traffic and chaos. Very little for nearby food and not a great area to walk around. Mildew in the shower and hairs everywhere.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Eugene for what was supposed to be two nights while attending the JMU vs. UO playoff game this past December (Go Dukes!), but it ended up being three nights after our flight was canceled due to poor weather—and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be stuck an extra day.
It’s listed as only a 2-star hotel, which honestly feels silly given how great the stay, location, and accommodations were. We booked a king suite so we could put our child to sleep and still use the common area, and the room was absolutely huge—far more space than we expected. Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed.
For a hotel with free breakfast, the options were excellent: lots of fresh fruit and plenty of solid choices for a great start to the day. We were there during a very expensive football weekend, but it was absolutely worth it, especially considering the convenience. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the stadium, which made game day incredibly easy. It’s also directly across the street from a grocery store and close to several good restaurants—we had great pizza just down the street.
The staff truly made the experience stand out. We originally had a very late flight on Sunday, and the hotel kindly offered us a 2:00 p.m. late checkout. That allowed us to have a relaxed, stress-free morning without worrying about storing luggage or leaving bags in the car. When our flight was ultimately canceled, the staff got us right back into a clean room (at a much more reasonable rate once the game weekend ended) and made the entire situation easy and painless—all with genuine friendliness and smiles.
Free and easy parking, spacious rooms, a fantastic location, and exceptional staff. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Eugene for a game—or just to enjoy the rain. ☔

Customer service here is EXCELLENT and the room was very clean and quiet. Stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, along with paper plates and bowls. The bed was comfy too! Didn't have a chance to try the breakfast, but we were told people come back just because of their breakfast offered and we will be back just off the customer service alone!

Out of all the IHG properties I have visited, this is the absolute worst. Outdated rooms. Unkempt, surly staff. Garbage tv amenity. Limited channels and an embarrassing, price gouging ppv option. After traveling all day any hassle, inconvenience can darken your experience. This place seems to make it their priority. Hard pass.
