Thought this place would be a fun stay for a quick "girls" trip to take my daughters to a Women's Ducks basketball team play a game. The lobby is pretty cool with lots to look at, including a giant wooden pull-duck and a life-size "Sloth" from the Goonies mannequin. The key cards are also interesting—look like old school ID's with various names and faces. The room was very plaid and not large, with a decor that felt like it was torn between wanting to be mid-century and frat house. We were on a higher floor and the view of downtown Eugene wasn't bad. But I think the darkness of the colors and lamps were a little more scary than relaxing. The bar/coffee spot was expensive but alright. Basically, if you're into sports (specifically, the Ducks) and eclectic, maximumist decor, you'd probably love it. When I decided to add on a night rather than travel over to our other favorite hotel in Eugene, I was shocked to hear the price had gone up $700—this is not an exaggeration. While the ambience was fun, it was not worth $980 to spend another night.

Rooms are okay. Small for what I'm used to As far as service goes, I don't need much service. But when I went to buy a water the guy didn't say a word The thing that really pisses me off about hotels now is when there's no free coffee. I mean how much profit are you really losing by providing a morning staple? Instead, this hotel decides to provide you with really bad instant coffee in the room. Another normal Hotel amenity is having a microwave in your room. Instead, this hotel requires you to go downstairs and cook your food in the coffee shop at a community microwave. And of course it's becoming more common for Hilton to not honor their "Honors" program by denying award points and stay credits because it was corporate billing. I've seen it all around the country and every individual hotel has a different excuse. A couple of them had spilled the beans and said it was their regional manager telling them not to do it. I can't wait for my company to dump this place. Be sure to watch this review. A reply is coming soon and it will be the same standard canned corporate response telling me to contact them at a specific phone number. This ain't my first rodeo.

I stayed at The Graduate Hotel in May 2026 for the Eugene Marathon, which it sponsored. The location was fantastic and within walking distance of great coffee shops and restaurants, making race weekend very convenient. However, there were a couple of issues worth noting. The AC broke in the middle of the night, which made it uncomfortable to sleep before race day. Additionally, late check-out options were extremely limited, even though many guests were marathon participants who needed extra time post-race. Given that this was the official race hotel, I expected more flexibility and attention to these details. Overall, the atmosphere and location were great, but I hope they improve these aspects for future marathon weekends.

The rooms have been redone since I last stayed there and they are decorated awesomely with tribute to track town, prefontaine and animal house. It is located downtown eugene with a parking garage, but the garage has low ceiling so call ahead to discuss parking if you have a tall vehicle.
