The rooms were very clean. The bathtub was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub was nice. And the swimming pool was the perfect temperature! Breakfast in the morning was great. Fruit was fresh.

We booked our 2 rooms in April for our August 9-11 stay. I requested an early check-in, which I know is not always available. When we got to the hotel at 3pm, not only was the line to check-in insane, we were told our room wasn't ready until 4pm. Cool. Well 4:15 rolls around and I go up to check again. We had a concert to go to with doors opening at 6pm so you understand why we wanted to get to our room. We were then told that the room wouldn't be ready until "maybe" 5:30pm and we could get ready in the lobby bathroom and leave our luggage behind the front desk. Excuse me?!! We ended up getting a notification that our room was ready at 5:50pm. Then we were told that the housekeeping staff was short handed. So how "cleaned" were our rooms then? At an average of $483/night this is unacceptable. I tried to give the staff grace. I am a Diamond Member, as well as Friends and Family of the Hilton. I contacted the GM Cindy Flues and aired my grievances. We were not the only ones that had to wait for our rooms to be ready and clean at 4pm. The Hilton Garden Inn clearly did not meet up to our expectations or their motto of making things right. She told me she would refund the points for 1 night on 1 room. Here we are at the end of October and she will not respond to my emails. I have yet to see points or a refund. To make matters worse, we used our F&B credits for all of the days, but somehow only one $10 credit was used. We should have had $40. She credited me $10. That's it. This was by far the worst experience with a Hilton property that we have ever had. Yes, the location is great. But go stay at MyPlace and you will not only save money, you will probably get to check into your room on time.

The room was comfortable and nice. They tacked on a $20 parking fee the was not disclosed. We didn't have a vehicle. Companies adding in poorly disclosed or non disclosed fees at the end is out of control.

I recently had a 4 day stay at this hotel. The location is excellent. Next to the river, near dining, and easy to get to. Nevertheless, it has some problems. Firstly, my partner and I stayed in a loft suite which certainly has enough space for privacy and activities. Problems: The toilet was extremely difficult to flush and the parts were obviously worn out. This clearly was not a new problem, and we should not have had to deal with it. The main room has a very high ceiling with a large window that has a motorized curtain, nice except that the curtain did not work, and was not an easy fix. Again, this should have been taken care of between guests. Does housekeeping not communicate these obvious problems? The only sink in the suite is in the hallway outside of the bathroom. This is unsightly and clumsy, and frankly, outdated. The shower is an old fashioned tub shower that clearly needs replacement. We have noticed other hotels in our travels that cost less but have modern step-in showers. Finally, the carpet although vacuumed, was filthy. One might not notice this on a one day stay or if you're with a family, but living with it for 4 days makes it obvious that it has not been deep cleaned in the recent past. Overall then, this place could use closer monitoring of the room amenities and basics, and a serious deep cleaning of the carpet. 2 1/2 stars

After a long day of driving, we went to check in early at 3pm and we're told it wouldn't be ready until closer to our 4pm checkin time. No problem, we left and went down to Old Mill to walk around. We came back after 4pm and were told by a new person at the front desk that it wasnt ready and that they had a couple of people not show up to clean. We waited another hour in the lobby and went back up the to the desk to check and he couldn't give us any ETA of when the room would be available. We left for dinner and finally received a text after 7pm that our room was ready. 3 hours after normal checkin. The next morning, we went down to use the Jacuzzi and it was warm but not hot and 1/3 of the jets worked. Its a great location but these issues bummed us out.
