  As always, room was great, location is walking distance to everything, wonderful breakfast and the only place in town with a light controlled intersection, making it easy to get on Hwy 30. This is our third stay and we've always recommended this hotel. But this time, I had poor treatment and not sure why. For check in, this older lady named Maggie(?) was a bit short and when asked questions, was a bit condescending. We got to the room and it was not the room I reserved. Although my husband was upset, I didn't want to deal with the grumpy front desk and the room still fit our party so I decided not to say anything. Upon review of the room, the bathroom was not clean, nor floors vaccumed. The next night, we received a call at 915pm for a noise complaint when my entire family was on the beds watching TV. Confused, I also took a photo of their noise rule in hallway which indicates no noise after 10pm. But mainly because there was more noise coming from the highway/bridge above the hotel then my lone room. My treatment is making me rethink recommending this hotel to others. Very disappointed this time, Holiday Inn Express Astoria, Oregon. 😔

  We had a lovely stay. Our room was comfortable and clean, the service was friendly, and the breakfast was AMAZING. The only complaint, which they really have no control over, is it's proximity to the bridge can make things kind of noisy, especially when they're doing maintenance or construction. The fan in the room helped to drown out most of that noise, though. I would happily recommend this hotel to others.

  A very nice experience at that hotel and very clean and the continental breakfast was very good
