Checked in at midnight for the night. We were leaving at 6 AM. Ignatius asks at the front desk if we want to pay for parking, we said no. There’s literally 4-5 lots in the area and one 2-3 minute walk behind the building charging $8. They wanted $21. Well, I checked today and despite saying no and parking somewhere else we’ve still been charged $21. Awful service.

After 18 hours of travel with kids, we arrived late as a walk-in after leaving another hotel that didn’t provide what we had requested. The staff here could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. They made arrangements to upgrade us the next day to the room size we needed, were incredibly flexible with service (including letting the kids order snacks as needed), and truly went out of their way to help us feel comfortable. Dinner at the River Room restaurant was excellent — the Old Fashioned cocktail was top-notch. Rooms were perfectly clean, the shower was very large, and the view of Detroit and the icebreaker ships was stunning. They even allowed us to end our reservation early with no penalty once our house became available. We’re locals and will absolutely be back for staycations, and we’ll be recommending this hotel to visiting friends and family. Highly recommend.

Stayed two nights here and had the best time. Hotel room was huge and we had a nice view of the lake and Detroit. Our room was so clean, I would come back here every time I’m in town! Highly recommend. Front desk staff was also fast, efficient and friendly.

Stayed there last march for our honeymoon/anniversy/ my birthday rebooked for this year but for May and added extra night. We loved everything we got last year and the staff hoping same thing this year. We dont treat ourselfs often and we like this place
