I never really write reviews but i had to for this. I stayed at the best western waterfront hotel from April 21 to 24 for my birthday. Before booking i was trying to decide between third party and the best western site for a better booking rate. I stayed at the hotel in the past when the name was waterfront hotel and i loved it then i loved the view so for my bday i was adamant that this was where i wanted to stay. During my search i stumble on the review and oh my God they were scary from being stuck in the elevator to pluming issue to hidden charges etc. i had to call the hotel and verify i spoke with someone by the name of Art or Hart who was very patient and answered all my questions he even told me to be mindful because third party like booking.com do charge a fee so its better to book on the hotel website. I booked my stay via hotel site for a really good rate i arrived at the hotel and i was upgraded from a partial view to a pano view room i stay on the 20th floor the view was exactly how i remembered. when i got the my room first i check the bed then went to check the bathroom i flush the toilet ran the sink tap and even the bathtub pipes and all was good no complaints there. housekeeping lady was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful and no i didn't get stuck in the elevator and to my knowledge no one was stuck during my stay. unfortunately there is no continental breakfast and the pool along with the fitness center is under construction i had to use the double tree hotel pool and fitness center next door. I also got heard that the hotel (best western) is going getting upgraded floor by floor suite and common area but during my stay i didn't see any evidence because the staff is doing an amazing job at keeping the guests away from the construction. Upon arrival i made sure to let them know i didn't use parking and i didn't charge anything to my room at check out there were no extra charge i even waited till my credit card was cleared before writing this review. I had a smooth and fabulous birthday thank you again best western sign rm 2012

Be aware they charge u for parking lot and things will be stolen from the car. They don't care. We just left then and filled the complaint online

We stayed here for just one night, I think it’s alright for a short trip but wouldn’t recommend for long stays. The elevator takes forever half the time, no parking lot so you have to pay to park in a parking garage. It’s close to lots of restaurants and bars though. We did have a small water view which was pretty. The room is clean and the service was good. Overall not the best hotel i’ve been in but it makes do if you’re just wanting a short stay that’s close to lots of food and bars.

I had a great stay overall! The room was amazing, and the view was beautiful. Cindy at check-in was very helpful and understanding when I had a slight delay, which I really appreciated—great customer service. The only downsides were that the website didn’t mention the pool was under maintenance. They do allow guests to use the pool at the neighboring hotel, which was nice, Overall, still a good experience, and I would stay again.

The manager was awful and not just to me to many others that stayed here. We were part of a group that reserved for meetings and we are a professional group and we're not treated with the respect we deserved. The management team told many people that they would not entertain request from any guest that were reserved with this party for any late checkouts for any reasons.. I've never heard a hotel do that in a blanket sense. In my check-in I was given the wrong room number so I tried to enter a room that wasn't mine, was removed access from my room prior to checkout, the room photo online of what I was preserving versus the room I actually got were extremely misleading, high level of noise. And then not to blame anyone else. As I had a room away from a lot of foot traffic, there was just zero noise control regarding how the doors and walls are made. Definitely something in the room created an allergic reaction within me. By the time I left I was completely swollen and this I typically get from hotel rooms that are not chronically cleaned well. You couldn't pay me enough to stay here again. The hotel next door however, the DoubleTree, I have a friend who is a manager there and they are fabulous as that is where we stayed last time.
