  We stay at the Holiday Inn Express Waterloo – St. Jacobs every year as part of our Christmas tradition, and it never disappoints. It’s the perfect place to stay when visiting the Waterloo Central Railway Christmas Train it’s just a short walk away, and you’re close to everything you need. The St. Jacobs Market area is right nearby too, which makes the whole weekend feel extra festive. The hotel itself is always clean, comfortable, and great for families. The kids love the indoor pool and splash pad, and mornings are always a hit thanks to the hot breakfast buffet especially the pancake machine! There’s also 24/7 coffee, a fitness room, and plenty of cozy spots to relax after a long day of holiday fun. It’s an ideal spot for a holiday getaway, and being just down the road from St. Jacobs Village means you can easily explore the shops and all the charm the town has to offer. We’ll definitely be back again next year! 🎄✨

  Hospitality and service is awefull.I have never experienced such poor service. Very nice hotel aweful management. I asked a manger for his card for issues I was having and has yet to provide it.No follow up nothing.This hotel doesn't care about your stay being satifsctory not a care in the world they will take your money and do nothing to rectify any issues . Young and inexperianced managment.

  The lobby was under renovation so a little chaotic to enter and check in. After getting to my room I discovered that there were no towels on the bath racks in the bathroom and no floor towel and only 1 towel under the sink. I called down to ask for more towels as we wanted to shower before going out for dinner. After an hour no one had come so I called down again. They said they had talked to housekeeping and they are on the way. After another 45 min still no towels so I called again and was again told they were coming. After 2 hours still no towels so we decided to go out without showering. As we were leaving the towels finally showed up. Not impressed ! Had to call 3 times and wait 2 hours ! I ran into the hotel manager on the way out and he asked how our stay was. I told him about the issues with the towels. He didn’t even ask what room we were in or apologize for the problems. He just walked away. The next morning at breakfast the toaster and pancake machine were not working and the eggs were obviously powdered eggs and not cooked very well. I would not book this hotel again.

  We've stayed here twice in the last month and while the Holiday Inn is experiencing a wonderful (and now nearly complete) renovation, the service and staff have been the best. The pool is excellent for both adults and children and has very generous hours, even if the water temp could be a tad warmer. The early bird breakfast is amazing and never disappoints. They make excellent crispy bacon, eggs, and have something for everyone. I would definitely stay here again when in the St. Jacobs/Waterloo area. It's a great place to call home away from home.

  Front lobby was roped off and under construction, walked on paper threw the drywall covered hall (from the neighbouring hotel entrance) and waited for the staff to install wall paper over the elevator button so I could go up to our room Shower pressure did not reach the other side of the shower and therefore had stains and residue making it look dirty, shower head also squeeled like a pig Pool was too busy to use as it shared with neighbour hotel Breakfast was cold and looked old - too busy even, had to share with neighbour hotel Woken up to the sound of dudes masking rocks with a sludge hammer infront of the front entrance Wasn't exactly a comforting experience and was no ways notified upon booking the place was in a warzone state environment, literally walking threw the neighbour hotel into a drywall dust construction zone Over all left a very "why was this not disclosed to us before booking"
